Holiday Sneak Peak Spooky Fun SU Trip Achiever's Blog Hop

GV Blog Header

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for August!! I'm so excited to finally have the chance to participate in this amazing blog hop with my fellow Mediterranean Achiever Demonstrator's from around the world!!  This month our theme is the Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek. We are so excited to show you these amazing BRAND NEW products that you will be able to purchase starting September 1st 2016.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Anne Granger or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Anne's blog.

My project that I created for today's blog was a designed around the new Spooky Fun Bundle ( Spooky Fun stamp set and Halloween Scenes Framelits) and the Halloween Scares stamp set!

My card was designed around the background. I was in the process of creating a few samples for an upcoming technique class and as soon as I had created the background, I knew that I wanted to create a Spooky Halloween Card!

DSC_0021 copy

My background was created with a variety of ink and sponges. First, I sponge a piece of Whisper White card stock with Daffodil Delight ink. Then I added some Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie ink to the middle with my sponges. With each colours, I would add a new layer of ink and then go back with the previous colour to help blend it all in together. I finally added some Cherry Cobbler ink to the top and then once again, worked at blending all the colours together till I was happy with the finally results!! The best part about this background was I created a moon mask, by punching out a 1 3/4 circle from Whisper White and then adding a piece of tape to the back and adhering it to your background. Then I sponged around the Moon with my colours, then when I removed the mask, I had a beautiful full moon!!

To finish off my card, I used the Halloween Scenes Edgelits, to create my spooky tree and the pumpkins. I stamped the Haunted House from the Halloween Scares stamp set in Memento ink and then fussy cut it out. I also stamp the witch from the Spooky Fun stamp set and cut it out with the matching witch edgelit dies. The last detail that I added was a little bit of ink splatter to the background as it helped create that spooky feeling!!

Thanks for stopping by our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at here at Anne's blog, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Thanks for stopping by and have fun on the rest of the blog hop!!

Embellished Ornaments Swap Card

Last week, we have our monthly downline meeting. Each month, my team gathers at my house for an afternoon of creating, sharing, stamping and training. These meeting always leaves me feeling inspired by my team members as they always have fabulous idea's that they share with us.

One of my side-lines Heather shared this beautiful swap card with me. She had created this swap card for a training event that she went to in July. The theme was Christmas and I'm so happy that she shared it with's beautiful!!!

Heather used the Embellished Ornament stamp set and matching Delicate Ornament framelits on her card. I love how she used the Fabulous Fold Designer Acetate to create the inside of the ornament! The colour combo that she used is gorgeous! She used Gold, Cherry Cobbler and Tip Top Taupe!! I think I might have to CASE this card and add it to an upcoming Christmas Stamp a Stack!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful swap with me Heather!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Thoughtful Branches

Happy Monday!!

Hope you had a great weekend! Ours was a busy one! We have been checking off the items on Emily's University list, I can't believe that 2 weeks today we will move her into residences. I'm not sure this mom is ready for the next steps! Don't get me wrong...I'm looking forward to watching her grow into her new adventure and the next chapter of her life, BUT we will miss the daily interactions with her here at home. I will miss the hugs and chats!!

My project today is one that I created with the new Thoughtful Branches stamp set. I told myself that I didn't need this stamp set, but after seeing all the amazing projects created with this, I had to get it. Now this Fabulous bundle is a Limited-Time bundle and only available till Aug 31 or while supplies last. I'm really hoping that Stampin' Up! will continue to sell this bundle in the future.

I have Fall on my mind, it's been so hot and humid here the last few weeks, that I'm ready for the fall. Fall is my favourite season as I love everything about it, cool days and nights, beautiful fall colours and yummy pumpkin desserts!!

So when I was creating this card, I thought it would be fun to create one with beautiful fall colours.

Tips on creating my card:

  • I used Moroccan Designer Series Paper for my pattern paper
  • To create the leaves on my tree, I first stamped my branches in Delightful Dijion, then using a sponge dauber, I randomly sponge in Tangerine Tango and Cherry Cobbler ink. Then using the Thoughtful Branches framelits, I cut them out with my big shot machine
  • The grass was done using the grass image and garden green ink
  • The trunk of my tree was stamped in Early Espresso and cut out using the matching framelit and big shot machine
  • The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso ink
  • I added a linen thread bow to the trunk of my tree

As I was telling you early, this stamp set and matching framelits are only available till Aug 31 or while supplies last.

Thoughtful Branches Photopolymer Bundle

You still have time to add this to your collection, but I won't wait to long as you only have less then 2 weeks!! You can check out the supplies I used on my card by click on the links below!!

Touches of Texture Make and Take from the Mediterranean Cruise

I finally finished my make and takes from the Mediterranean Cruise a few weeks ago. When we were on the cruise, they had a morning dedicated for a Make and Take session. I didn't make it down to the session as Emily and I decided to go into port to check out Cannes Frances. Since I wasn't able to do them at that time, I was able to bring home the make and take package.

The make and takes focus around the Touches of Texture stamp stamp and the Moroccan Designer Series Paper and Washi tape.

The cool thing about this stamp set is that it's meant to add some texture to your background meaning it's another great grunge stamp set to add to your collection!! There is a variety of 15 different images in this stamp set, and the another neat thing is that you can layer over top of the images for a technique called Collage stamping!!

DSC_0052 copy

My one tip for this card is that it's okay to have your images off-centered. I know it's hard for us stampers to do but it's okay to not have perfectly lined up images as it's as add a little bit of character to your project and this stamp set is designed perfectly for us to do that!!

Curious to know what I used on this card, you can view all the supplies listed below in the clickable links.

Only a few weeks left to REDEEM those Bonus Day Coupons!! Make sure to get your order in before Aug 31 as this is when the Bonus Day coupons expire!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
