Yahoo, it's Friday!! This is one of the cards that we made last week at my Delightful Decoration class. This card was totally CASE from the Holiday Mini. You can find this card on page 24. It uses one of my favourite Christmas stamp set Delightful Decorations. Along with the coordinating Ornament Punch, Sparkle and Shine wheel and the Merry & Bright rub-ons.

Ornament Punch Stencil Card ---Christmas Week #17

Hello,

First, I would like to say a big Thank you to Michelle from Laycock Designs for designing my new blog banner and for setting up my blog!! She did an amazing job and she was awesome to work with. When Michelle was ready to design my blog, she asked me what my favourite products were like colours, stamp set, paper, embellishments and punches. Then she took my suggestions and create a blog banner for me!!! Didn't she do amazing job, I love the swirly catch phrases after my blog name!! Thanks so much MIchelle!!! Wow, I love it and I can't wait to hear what you think about it too!!!

Did you know that you can create your own stencils using our punches and acetate?? Well, this is one of the cards that we made at my Downline Meeting last night. I wanted to show the ladies, how you can create your own stencils using our punches.

We first punch out the ornament shape using the Ornament Punch and Acetate. Then we laid the stencil down on our Whisper White paper. Then using Sahara Sand ink and our stampin sponges, we dabbed ink into our stencil. When we had the desire colour, we remove our stencil and now you have an ornament on your card stock.Then we added our greeting to the ornament.

The embossing on the real red card stock was done using our Petals-a-Plenty Impression folder and the Big Shot Machine.

Recipe: Sahara Sand, Real Red and Whisper White card stock, Acetate, Petals-a-Plenty Impression Folder, Big Shot Machine, Gold Brads, Ornament Punch, Holiday Best Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set, White Ribbon, Always Artichoke and Real Red Markers, Mat Pack, and Paper Piercer.

Build a Bear--Thank You Card

Hello,

I hope you are having a great day!! On the weekend, I sat down in my studio just to play around with my stamps. It felt so good to make cards just for fun. I thought I would make a card that was clean and simple. I really like the new Build a Bear collection and thought it would make a quick and easy thank you card.

My bears were stamped in Staz-on ink then onto Whisper White card stock. I coloured them in with a variety of markers. The greeting is from the Beary Nice Wishes stamp set.

Technique Tuesday---Masking

Good Morning,

I'm super excited to share my card with you today!! For my technique today, I wanted to show you Masking. Masking is a great way to add depth to your stamping.

My inspiration for my card today came from Julie over at Kreative Jewels. As soon as I saw this gorgeous card, I knew that I had to make it.

The first thing that I did was mask off my snowbanks and stamped my trees. Once I had these in place, I stamped my Snowboarder. I sponge in the sky using Bashful Blue and Brocade Ink. Then I stamped my greeting near the bottom of my card.

I wanted to create the look of fresh fallen snow. So using my 2 way glue pen, I cover the bottom half with glue. Then I took our Dazzling Diamonds and sprinkle it all over my glue. I made sure to remove any excess glitter...and wow is all I can say!!!!

Is this not amazing?? I love how this card turned out!!!!

Recipe: Night of Navy and Whisper White card stock, Handsome Hunter, Brocade, Bashful Blue and Night of Navy Ink, Four the Holiday stamp set, Lovely as a Tree stamp set, Snowboarder stamp, 2-way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Night of Navy ribbon.

Pals Paper Art-- In the Pink Challenge

Good Morning,

I hope you had a great weekend!! I had a chance to play along with this week's challenge over at Pals Paper Art.

Pals Paper Art wrote this....This week we are "In the Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness... celebrating cancer survivors, and remembering those that continue to battle, as well as the countless number of family and friends that have been touched by this disease. 

So the only requirement was to use pink!!

 I decide to do Versamark Resist on mine using the Breast Cancer Ribbon of Hope. First I stamped my Ribbon of Hope in Versamark then onto glossy white paper. I did this 3 times. Then using a brayer and Pixie Pink ink, I brayed over the glossy white paper. Keeping brayer with ink till you have the desired colour. Then using tissue wiped off the excess ink. The ink resists the versamark!! Way to cool!! I then stamped my greeting using Staz-On Ink over top.

 

Recipe:Versamark Ink Pad, Glossy White Paper, Black Ribbon, Pixie Pink and Black card stock, Brayer, Pixie Pink ink, Ribbon of Hope stamp and Hope Happens stamp set.

RAK in the Mail

Hello,

I love going to the mailbox to find goodies in there beside bills!! The other day, I received this beautiful card from one of my customers. Denise sent this gorgeous card to my family for Halloween!!

Love it!! I really like how the edge is ripped so that you can see the inside of the card and how she sponged around the witch to create the spooky night time look!!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween my friends!!

Well, it's almost time for my girls to head out trick or treating. They are very excited this year!! They had to create a spooky design on our pumpkin and they want to carve it by themselves this year!! This was the first year that they actually dug out all the pumpkin seeds by themselves. They usually don't like the feeling of it and we end up doing it...but not this year....they were right it there!!!

I wanted to share a card with you tonight. I think this is my favourite card that I made this year!! The inspiration came from Andrea Walford. I just love the brayed background and how spooky the haunted house looks!!!

Spooky Treat Jar

Good Morning,

Yeah...it's Friday!! I'm so looking forward to a quiet weekend and spending time with my family!! I might even squeeze in some stamping time!!

I want to share with you another cute gift idea for gift giving. I first saw this idea in the Idea Book and Catalogue. On page 21, it shows us how you could use our Rub-ons to decorate glass jars. I thought what a great idea, so I decided to give it a try!!

I used the new Spooky Treat Rub-ons on my jar and the Cast-a-Spell Designer Series Paper.

What a fun Spooky Treat!!!

Serene Snowflakes -- Christmas Week #16

I hope you are having a great day!!

This is one of the cards that we made last week at my 10-10-25 Christmas Class. The theme for the night was Snowflakes and Snowman!!

I just love these colours...Not Quite Navy, Kraft and Whisper White together...it look frosty and reminds me of a snowy chilly night. I know these days will be coming soon...but they can wait a little bit longer.

Tasty Sweets!!!

Hello,

I want to say a big thank you to Christine, Shanna and Laura (we missed you Danielle) for coming out to my Mystery Halloween Class the other night. The ladies had so much create a variety of Halloween projects. The best part about this class was it was a mystery to them as to what we were making.

I wanted to show them how they can turn tins into a beautiful gift for family and friends. We decorated Hershey Nuggets with the Cast a Spell Designer Series Paper. We then wrapped the tin up with the 1 1/4 Striped Grosgrain Pumpkin Pie ribbon. The banner was created using the greeting stamp from Tasty Sweets.

Here is a close up of those yummy Hershey Nuggets.
