12 Days of Holiday Countdown

MDS Day!!

Happy Tuesday!

It's MDS Day which means new downloads will be released and I can't wait to see them. Have you heard the news? That MDS2 has changed back to MDS and now you can get the software for $24.95. You still get all the great digital content but now for a lower price! An amazing new price!!

I was inspired by my sweet friend Kimberly to finally take some pictures of me and actually do a layout with me it in! I find that I'm always the one taking the pictures and I want my family to learn more about me and who I am!!

One of my new found love is Frozen Yogurt. There is this new store in London that serves frozen yogurt that you can top with over 40 different toppings, like yummy fresh fruit and oh my favourite Chocolate!! So girls and I went for a little visit over March Break and all I can say is "YUMMY"

Calendar Class 2013_2-004

Holiday Countdown ~~ Day 1

Hello,

1 day till Christmas Eve!! Are you ready?? I spent yesterday checking some more items off my list of things to do....wrapping is done, watch our favourite Christmas cartoons with the girls, camera batteries are charged for all those special memories, and I manage to fit in some time for stamping.

On the 1st day of Christmas, my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Anne gave to us.........

A 6 by 6 Calendar!!!

Our first Christmas with Emily which was 10 years ago( WOW, where did that go??), I made my mom and dad a photo calendar for the upcoming year with pictures of Emily from the past year. Every since then, my mom has only asked for one thing for Christmas....a calendar!!

Since I have been scrapbooking, I have been making my own calendar. This year I decided to change it up and make them a 6 by 6 Desktop calendar. I'm very please how this turn out and how quickly it came together. I hadfun using the new GO-GO Boots die cut letters to make the title for each month using the Big Shot machine. All supplies on the calendar are from Stampin' Up!!

Here is January's month page....

Holiday Countdown ~~ Day 2

Happy Monday my friends,

It's going to be a White Christmas here in Southwestern Ontario. Mother Nature has decided to give us 2 snow storms within 2 days and we are expecting another one tomorrow. The blowing snow is causing the most problems and the windchill. With the windchill it feels like minus 30 out.....it sure is cold out there!!

On the 2th day of Christmas, my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Anne gave to us.........

Top Note Nugget Wrap!!

I saw this cute idea on Andrea's blog and just knew that I had to make one. Another reason why I love my BIG SHOT machine.....is all the fun things that you can make with the Top Note Die. This is my favourite die of all and I love all the different ways that you can use it. You can make gifts boxes, cards, packages and so much more. Andrea gave a great tutorial on how to make this, hop on over to her blog to check it out. Thanks Andrea!!!

Scrapbook Wonderland

(Scrapbook Wonderland)
Author: Erin Kilmer

Shakers rattle, are you listenin'?
In the aisle, beads are glistenin'!
A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight!
Walking in a scrapbook wonderland!
Gone away is my money
Here to stay's my croppin' buddy!
We're singing a song
As we shop along
Walking in a scrapbook wonderland!
In the workroom we can build a layout
Using diecuts, Punches, fibers too!
We'll have lots of fun making our layout
And they have just the right shade of Stampin’ blue!
Later on, we'll conspire As we crop by the fire
To bring all our pics and our hermafix
Walking in a scrapbook wonderland
In the workroom we can build a layout
With our eyelets, stickers, tags and Brads.
We'll have lots of fun making a layout!
All those Patterned Papers make me glad!
When we crop, ain't it thrillin',
Though the shop's makin' a killin'?
We'll frolic and play the Scrapbooking way
Walking in a scrapbook wonderland.
Walking in a scrapbook wonderland.
Walking in a scrapbook wonderland!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Hello my friends,

Well, Mother Nature is deciding here in Southwestern Ontario that we need more snow. We are expecting a big storm today with snow up to 30 cm. The snow is not going to be the problem but the gusting winds will be. I heard on the radio that this is the first of 3 storms to hit us in the next few days. If you are out driving in this weather, please take your time and be safe!!

On the 5th day of Christmas, my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Anne gave to us.........

a book mark!!

What a quick idea to give to all those avid readers out there!! I'm planning on giving this one to my mom as she loves to read along with a Chapter's gift certificate. This book mark was very easy to make. Take a piece of card stock cut to 2.5 by 6, and then a second piece of card stock 2 1/4 by 5 3/4. I decided to decorate mine with the Flight of Butterfly stamp set along with the ABC Uppercase Alphabet using Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette ink.

I can't wait to see what they came up with for Corrie and I. They had fun creating Mr. Twigster gift holders for their teachers. I have to say they did a fabulous job on them!! This time of year, I always find myself buying Gift cards for family. I want to make some cute holders for them this year and I saw this cute idea on Andrea's blog yesterday. I changed it up abit to make it my own.
