Yahoo, It's Friday and it's Weekend Challenge Time

Dscn3046

Here is the card that I made for this week's Weekend Challenge #37. Click here to check out Beate's amazing challenges and her work.

I love this Pun Fun stamp set. It's so cute and there is so much that you can do with the 8 different images.

I used Kraft card stock as my base. I decided to used Rose Red as my accent with Cutie Pie designer series paper. Using the Paper Piercing tool and template I punched holes in the top and bottom of the Rose Red stripe going across the card. I then layer it with Cutie Pie pattern paper and Certainly Celery cardstock.

I decided to give Watercolouring a try again. I love the look that it gives but it takes alot of practice to get just the right amount of water on the Aqua Painter tip. I stamped the bird using Staz-on ink onto the Watercolour paper.  I decided to colour the bird with Rose Red and Certainly Celery markers. Then using the Aqua Painter, I blended the colours to give it a watercolour look. I then layer this onto Bashful Blue card stock. Using the stamp "Happy Birthday", I stamped it in Rose Red ink. in the bottom corner of the card. The Happy Birthday is from the Family Phrases stamp set.

Here is the template for this week's challenge.

Yummy eggs....

Dscn3023 This is another project that the kids will be making in my Kid's Easter class. I love these little 2 oz tins as there is so much that you can do with them. I cut  a 1 1/2 inch stripe from the Cutie Pie designer series paper. I glue this around the tin. Using the Purely Pomegrante ribbon, I glue this around the lid of the container.  Using the A Good Egg stamp set, I stamped a chick with Staz-on ink on to Whisper White card stock. I coloured him with Barely Banana markers then I popped him up on the container. I then stamped Happy Easter in Certainly Celery onto Barely Banana card stock and punched it with my word window punch. Then I filled the tin with my favourite Cabury Mini eggs. I wish they made them all year!!

Cutest Chick Ever

Dscn3013 I made this card using the design that I got from a good friend and fellow demonstrator Heather. Check out her blog here. She is an inspiration to others.

I love the Designer Series Paper Cutie Pie. The colours in the paper scream "Spring to me". I layer the designer series paper on to So Saffron card stock and then on to my base Certainly Celery. Using the dots from A Good Egg stamp set, I stamped them all over the Bashful Blue paper with Bashful Blue ink. This gives it a tone on tone look. I glue this onto the Cutie Pie paper and added Bashful Blue ribbon.  I stamped the chick image onto Whisper White using my Staz-on ink. I coloured him in with So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie watercolour crayons. Then using my blender pen, I blended the colours in. I layer this onto a piece of So Saffron and glue it to my base. I stamped an extra chick image onto Whisper White and cut out just the egg shell. You can't tell from the picture but I popped it up with pop-up dots. Is this chick not the cutest chick you have seen??

Look what I got in the mail!!

Dscn3039 Look, what I got in the mail today!! I love this magazine. By far it's my favourite of all scrapbook magazines out there. The layouts, the projects and articles are only a beginning as to what this magazine has to offer. One of my favourite features is Passport to Creativity. This is where they take you on a tour of a Province and interview 3 different scrapbookers. I love reading about them, finding out how much then spend a month,(this is where I can compare it to myself and say "I'm not the only one"), what their favourite product is and seeing how they organize their scrapbook rooms. I love how they showcase a product and give you step by steps on how to use it. I love seeing what the Hottest Products are in Canada. I read this book from cover to cover and then again. So you know what I will be doing soon, curling up with a good magazine!!  Hurry to the nearest store to pick up your own copy now!! Trust me you won't be disappointed!!

I would love to hear what your favourite magazine is??

Watch for some Easter idea's tomorrow and have a great night!!

Having a Blast!!

Dscn3027_2 It's amazing how different colours make a card look totally different. I love the new Pun Fun stamp set. I decided to use the rocket ship image for this card. I took this design right from the Spring and Summer Catalogue.

I used Taken with Teal Texture card stock as my base. I added 3 Antique Brass brads in the corner of the Rose Red. Then added the piece of Rose Red half way up the card. I used the new Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon in the middle of the card.  I then stamped the rocket ship onto Old Olive and then again on Whisper White card stock. I coloured in my rocket ship using Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers. I cut out the image from the Whisper White and popped it up with a pop up dot onto the Old Olive. I glue down the Old Olive on top of the ribbon.

Dscn3029 Here is the same design as the above. I just change the colours. I used Tempting Turquiose as the base with a piece of Only Orange card stock half way up the middle. I added Tempting Turquoise brads in the corner. I used the Real Red striped ribbon. I stamped the rocket ship image onto Real Red and Whisper White. I coloured the rocket ship using Real Red, Only Orange and Tempting Turquoise markers. I popped up the rocket ship on this one also.

Let me know which colour combo you like.

I'm having a blast with my blog. I have only been doing this for 2 weeks now. It's amazed me how many people have read my blog already. I have over 350 readers. Thank you for making Stamp With Anne part of your daily blog reading. I'm having a blast sharing my creations with you all.

We are in for a big snow storm tonight, please drive safe. Hugs the ones you love and have a great night!!

I stamped the Chick from the Good Egg(love this set) stamp set with Stazon ink onto Whisper White card stock. I coloured him with Barely Banana marker. I then layer this onto the Barely Banana card stock.  I added Certainly Celery dots onto the eggs using my marker. I added Certainly Celery ribbon around the pail and to the handle. It's Friday..Yahoo!!

Dscn2945 I did a Pre-order Bitty Birthday class back in January. With the class you made 6 cards, a tag and you receive the Bitty Birthday stamp set.

This was one of the cards that we made. I used Old Olive as my base and added a Night of Navy stripe across the card. I then layered Whisper White card stock onto Chocolate Chip card stock. I used the cake image from the Bitty Birthday set and stamped it with Basic Black ink onto the Whisper White. I used my Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip and Basic Grey markers to colour in the cake and the plate. I then stitched around the edge of the Whisper White with my Chocolate Chip marker. I stamped Happy Birthday with Chocolate Chip in the corner. I love these colour combo's together. This is very masculine looking.

Card stock: Old Olive, Night of Navy, Whisper White

Have a great Friday night!!

Winter Beauties

Dscn2996 I'm in the process of making a calendar for the year. I figured each month I would add a picture of something that happened that month, and by the end I would have 12 layouts for my scrapbook. This is January's layout. In a previous post, she melts your heart is my February layout. I don't know about you but I'm behind.....only by a year!!

I took some pictures of my girls during one of the heavy snowy days.

I used Wild Wasabi as my base. Using the Coluzzle cutter, I cut out a circle in Purely Pomegranate and added white stitches along the edge with my white gel pen. The snowflakes are chipboard. I covered the snowflakes with White Craft Ink and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on them. You can't tell from the picture but they are sparkling!! I used my Quickutz alphabet to cut out the word Winter. I used the new Build a Brad kit as a dot for my "i". These things are amazing. They come in this cute little tin. Using my 1/2" circle punch, I punch out a circle with Whisper White card stock. Then I stamped a snowflake on to the Whisper White circle using Purely Pomegranate ink. I glued this on to the brad that comes with them and then added this adhesive acrylic bubble over top. Voila, you have your own brad. I used the oval punch with Whisper White card stock. Then I added a snowflake stamp and my journaling notes.

Card stock: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White

Ink: Purely Pomegranate , Whisper White Craft ink

Other: Coluzzle Cutter, Oval Punch, Snowflake chipboard, Quickutz Alphabet and Quickutz Squeeze, 1/2" Circle Punch, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, White Gel Pen, Build a Brad kit

Have a great night!!

Your friendship makes my heart happy

Dscn2982 Here is another sample with the new Sale-a-Bration stamp set called "Friendship Blooms".

I used the new Flower Fusion flowers in Rose Red in the middle of my stamped image. I placed a Soft Subtles brad in Certainly Celery in the middle of the flower. The new Flower Fusion are felt flowers that come in 14 different flower designs in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red. You get over 130 pieces in this cute little metal tin.

I used Bashful Blue as my base and used the Designer Series Paper "Cutie Pie". I used the stripe paper and then I glued the back side of the stripes which is the flower prints on Certainly Celery card stock. I stamped the flower image in Rose Red onto Whisper White card stock. I glued the stamp image onto Bashful Blue and then Certainly Celery card stock. I stamped the saying with Rose Red ink.
