Waterbottle holder for Kids

Happy Wednesday my friends,

We woke up to thundershowers and now it's just raining. The weather station is calling for a day of showers. It's a great day to stay indoors, get caught up on some indoor chores and scrapbook.

This afternoon, I have been asked to do a Kid's craft at the local library here in town as part of their Summer Reading Program. We decided to make Water-bottle holder's with them. I wanted them to learn about the world of scrapbooking and how to stamp also. I saw this cute idea on Angie's blog. I decided to add my twist to the project and make it more appealing to the kid's. This is the first time that I used this Wild for you stamp set and I love it!! It will make great layouts and cards for children.

Back from Nature....

Happy Tuesday Afternoon,

We are back home from a fun and action pack weekend up North. Every year we head up to Brule with bunch of our neighbour's. Our friends' Darrell and Betty-Ann are part owners of a Hunting Camp on this beautiful North lake known as Russell Brown Lake. My family just loves the wilderness of it all....swimming in the lake, fishing, riding the ATV's, going for boat rides, and most of all hanging out with our close friends.

Our friends Mike and Jerri brought up their new boat along with their tube for tubing. My Emily was so excited to try this out for the 1st time. She is hooked!! She loved it, and the pictures prove it. She had a grin on her face from ear to ear and loved it when they were hitting the big waves.

I wanted to share some pictures of the weekend with you!! I hope you enjoy the incredible scenery as much as we did. THANK YOU Darrell and Betty-ann!!!!!

What an incredible view of the lake.

My girls learning how to cast.

My husband the Skipper!!!

Jerri and Emily riding the WAVES!!!! Look at the grin on those faces!!!!

Alison enjoying the waves at the beach!!

As you can see we had a blast this weekend and we are counting down the days till next time!!!

Hello my Friends,

I can't believe that we are heading into the last week of July. Where is the summer going?? They say as you get older that time just fly's by!!! Oh well, at least that means we are closer to the release of the new Fall/Winter Catty. Only a few more weeks to go....I can't wait to see what fun things Stampin' Up! has in store for stamp sets, new Designer Series Paper, new accessories....oh our wish list are going to be long.LOLOLOL.

As I said earlier,  I just love the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper along with the new In-colours. I made this card using the SCS sketch challenge # 182.

Have a super duper day!!

Sunflower Card

Hello My Friends,

I hope you are having a great weekend!!! The other day while surfing my list of blogs, I saw this really cute Sunflower on Patty Bennett's blog. She shows us how to make a Sunflower from a Scallop Punch. Since I really liked the look of this, I thought I would make one myself.  It's very easy to make. You just punch out a Scallop Punch, and then using your scissors make a slit between each petal. I distress mine and curl the petals. I then added a 1 3/8" circle punch to the middle of the flower. I added seeds with my Chocolate Chip marker. Isn't this the cutest flower??

Recipe: All Supplies Stampin' Up!! ~~ Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and So Saffron card stock, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" Square Punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Chocolate Chip marker and Wow Flowers stamp set.

Have a wonderful day!!

Sail the Sea's...

Good Morning my Friends,

Do you ever find yourself scrambling at the last minute to make a birthday card for a male? My mom is always tells me, that I needed new stamp sets for guys. So one day, I gave her the Catty to look thru and told her to pick out some stamp sets that she liked. The stamp set that she pick reminds us both of Nova Scotia.

My dad is from Nova Scotia and they are famous for their Bluenose Schooner and Peggy's Cove. My mom picked out Winds of Grace as it had a sail boat and a light house image in it. My dad's birthday is in August and I thought this would be a great card for him.

I started out using card sketch # 185 from the SCS Challenge. I decided to flip my sketch the other way. I figure the new In-colours Baja Breeze and Pacific Points would remind us of the Atlantic Coast. Oh, how I would love to take my girls there.....there is just something about the East Coast!!

Recipe: All supplies Stampin' Up!! ~~ Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Kraft and Whisper White card stock, Pewter brads, Winds of Grace stamp set, Pacific Point ink, and Family Phrases stamp set.

If you are sailing the sea's or just hanging at home by the pool or on your deck, have a super duper day spending time with your family!!

Thank You!!!

WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Just a quick note to say "THANK YOU" to each and everyone of you that stops by my blog on a daily basis.

Early this morning, when I went to check out the site meter I noticed that I had gone beyond the 10, 000 mark. WOW, 10, 000 people have checked out my blog in 6 months. I'm totally blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life and to know that we will all met because of this wonderful hobby called "Stamping/Scrapbooking".

Thank you again....looking forward to the next milestone!!!

Joy Fold Card

Yahoo, it's Friday!! I'm so excited as my husband is now on 2 weeks holidays. We are looking forward to having Daddy home and taking the girls on some day trips!!

I really love this card that I'm going to show you. It's this week tutorial on SCS called Joy Fold Card. I couldn't believe how fast this card came together, and I love the end results. I can see me using this card template for Christmas, Birthdays, Thank-you's and so much more. Check out the tutorial here.

This is the front of my card. I love the new Bella Rose D.S.P along with the New In-colours and Chocolate Chip card stock. I stamped the Butterfly and flower from Time Well Spent onto Whisper White. Using my blender pen and a pool of ink(press lids against pad to gather a pool of ink), I coloured the butterfly and flower in with Red Riding Hood and Pink Pirouette ink by dipping the blender pen into the ink. I then added Crystal Effects to the dots on the wings and flowers.

This is the inside of the card.

Recipe:All supplies Stampin' Up! ~~ Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock, Bella Rose D.S.P, Wow Flowers stamp set, Time Well Spent Stamp set, Dew Drops(Robins' Nest), Crystal Effects, Red Riding Hood and Pink Pirouette ink, Blender Pen, and Chocolate Chip marker.

What do you think?? Don't you just love the colour combo's on this card. Why don't you give it a try. Trust me you will be so happy with the end results.

Have a great Friday!!

CHA Sneak Peeks

Good Morning my Friends,

I wanted to show you some pictures from the CHA show. As I said earlier, it's very over whelming as everything starts to look the same by the end of the day. My job was to take notes for Lori as we visited each booth. I would write down the product line that she liked and then I would take pictures in the booth.

My picture taken with Mark Mortensen from TLC learning channel.

Isn't this the cutest Flip-Flop frame?? This is from Imaginese Booth
