Sponge to Huff Tutorial and Inspired by Nature card

Good Morning my friends,

I'm so excited that I was able to play around with some of my new stamp sets yesterday. I love the new Inspired by Nature stamp set especially the flowers and the grass.

I wanted to share with you this cool technique that I learned at the Quarterly Meeting. It's called a Stamp to Huff technique. Most of the Demonstrator's learned this at Convention. I thought I would share it with you. Here is a tutorial on it.

I stamped the grass using Mellow Moss ink onto Whisper White card stock.

Using my markers, I coloured the centre of the flower using Close to Cocoa, the flower petals using So Saffron, and the stem using Mellow moss.

Using the sponge daubers and ink, I sponged the petals and the top of the flowers using a darker colour. For the petals, I used More Mustard ink. Using the sponge dauber, I just dabbed the petals around the edges.

Using the sponge dabbers, I sponged the top of the flowers using Chocolate Chip ink. I inked just around the top of the flowers. Don't forget to huff on the stamp set before you stamp to remoisten the ink.

Don't you just love the look of the this technique. It gives you a Watercolouring look without all the work.

Here is the card that I made using this technique.

What do you think of this technique? Isn't it beautiful!! Now that you have seen it, why don't you give it a try!!

Have a wonderful day,
