Happy Spooky Day!!

My two daughters are very excited about today and they can't wait to carve their pumpkin after school and head out Trick or Treating!! My husband takes the girls out trick or treating with a bunch of our neighbours, and I stay home to hand out the treats. One of my favourite things is to see all the creative costumes that come to the door. I wonder what the most popular costume will be this year??

I made this layout for Halloween with my Scrapper's 6 club ladies. They had fun using the Spooky Spider Vinyl rub-on on their page. I love how this turn out and it makes me look at the Home Decor Vinyl rub-ons in a different way.....what other's vinyl's can I use in my scrapbook pages???

 

I used the Small White Spooky Spider vinyl decor rub-ons along with the Chills &Trills Rub-on's, Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper and the top note die. The top note will be used for my jounalling.

Recipe:Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, and Kiwi Kiss card stock, Ghostly Greetings D.S.P, Top Note Die, Big Shot Machine, Spooky Spider Home Decor Rub-on's, Chills and Trills Rub-ons, Jumbo Eyelets, Basic Black Ribbon, and Crop o Dile.

Frosty the Snowman.....Festive # 17

Happy Festive Day my friends,

Wow, only 8 more weeks till Christmas, can I just ask where the time went?? This year is just flying by and it only seem like yesterday we were celebrating last Christmas.

I'm having so much fun with my Big Shot machine and my favourite die....you guess it the Top Note Die. Yesterday, I had a brain storm in the middle of the night as our power was out due to the Snow Storm( yes a snow storm in Southwestern Ontario in October), and our girls were up also. As I lay it bed, I thought, hey if you can make a Frankenstein then you can make a Frosty!!

Well, let me introduce you to Frosty the Snowman......

 

Recipe: Top Note Die, Big Shot Machine, Whisper White, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Riding Hood Red card stock, 1 1/4" and 1" circle punch, Star punch (for nose), Button Bouquet and Hemp Twine.

Frankenstein Top Note Bags

Hello my friends,

I think Mother Nature is playing a trick on us....I really think she has mix up her months. With only 2 days till Halloween she has decided that here in Southwestern Ontario that we need snow. It's snowing right now!!  Let's hope it's not cold and snowy for Halloween!!

I just love my top note die and Big Shot machine. I love the fact that it can be used in so many different ways to create so many projects.

I'm sure that you have seen Mr. Frankenstein surfing along in blog ville, while I just have to make one myself. I had this project done in less 10 minutes with the Big Shot Machine. Let me know what you think??

 

Recipe: Top Note Die, Big Shot Machine, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock, 1 1/4" and 1" inch circle punch, round tag punch, my way punch, Black marker and white gel pen.

Create a Calendar from the Holiday Mini

Hello my friends,

I was so excited last week when my new tool arrived, the Pink Bind it all machine. This little machine is awesome and the projects that you can make are endless. I have been waiting for this baby to arrive since CHA in the summer. I just had to try it out with the new Create a Calendar 2009 in the Holiday MIni. This mini calendar makes a great gift  and you can't beat the price for only $9.50. You can make it into a Clipboard calendar, a pocket calendar or a desk calendar. Once again the possibilites are endless.

I thought I would make mine into a pocket calendar for my purse. Using the Bind it all machine, I binded mine together into a book. I used Chipboard for the covers and cover them with Kiwi Kiss card stock and decorated it with the supplies from the kit.

Beate Weekend Sketch

Good Day my Friends,

I was so excited yesterday when I sat down to stamp just for the fun of it. All last week, when I was down working in my studio, I was busy preparing projects for classes and clubs. It's been a long time since I did Beate's Weekend sketch and it felt good to just design a card for the fun of it.

I had fun with this sketch. I used the new Pocket Silhouettes stamp set along with the new Urban Garden Designer Series Paper. I wasn't sure about the colour combo but I'm glad that I decided to use Basic Grey. As this colour combo is beautiful together. The coordinatings colours for the Urban Garden paper is Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. Thanks Beate!!!

Frankenstein Bag

Hello my friends,

When I saw this cute bag the other night at our Quarterly Meetings I thougth we was so sticken cute!! My good friend Corinne made him using the Basket and Bloom Bigz XL Die with the Big Shot. The base of Frankenstein is the basket and then she add the hair, eyes, nose and mouth. Thanks for sharing this with us Corinne!!

Kincrop Srcapbooking Event

Hello My friends,

First, I would like to say hello to all my new friends that I met today at the Kincrop Scrapbooking Event in St.Mary's Ont. This is an annual event each Fall, and it was my 1st time as a Stampin' Up! vendor. I always love seeing all the scrapbookers hard at work as they work on their projects.

I had fun showing the ladies how to use the Big Shot during my Make and Take. They love using the Top Note die to create a cute topper for their Halloween cello bag.

Top Note Mr. Owl

Happy Friday my friends,

I'm glad it's Friday!! It's been a busy week and with my oldest daughter being sick that just added to the craziness!! I'm glad to say that she is feeling much better and that their is a light at the end of the tunnel.

This project is so cute!! I received him the other night when I went to the Quarterly Meeting. It's part of the get to know you questionnaire. How it works is you are given a cute little treat holder and on the back in a Demonstrator's name. You then seek them out and once you find them, you ask them a list of questions and then in return you hand them their YUMMY treat!! Then your name is enter into a draw to win prizes!!

Look how cute he is!!

Festive # 16 ~~ Big Shot Santa

Hello my friends,

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas......I know it's only 10 weeks till the Big day!! The way the weather has been around here lately, I'm afraid that the sn-w stuff is not far off. 

Remember I was telling you that I would show off some of the samples I received from the other Demonstrator's that participated in Demo Theatre the other night at our Quarterly Meeting.

 I believe that Lisa B made this cute little Santa's using the Big Shot Pennant Die. I will be making some of these cute fellow in the future. How cute will they look on your tree??

Way to go Sweetheart!!

Happy Wednesday my friends,

Remember me telling you a few weeks ago that my daughter made it to the Finals for Cross Country. Well, she ran 1.5 km yesterday. Here is Southwestern Ontario it was very cold and windy. They held the final run at Fanshawe Park where they had to run up hills and long the path by the water.

Well, I'm very proud to say that my daughter came in 24 out of 150 runners.!! She made the top 25!! Yahoo to go Sweetheart!!

They also rank the schools by 1st, 2nd and 3rd place by how many of their cross country team member cross the finish line in certain number positions. I'm very excited to say that my daughter and 3 of her team members cross the finish line so her school was award second place overall!!! YAHOOO!! Way to River Heights!!!

 

This is before the race, as you can tell she was cold!!

 

Here is my little runner!! She was telling me, let's just go home Mommy as I was taking her picture!!
