Taylor Expression Challenge # 53

Hello,

Last night, I enjoyed a relaxing evening in my studio after my girls went to bed. I have some upcoming classes and clubs that I need to prepare for, so I was busy working on those. I had a chance to work on Taylor's Cupcake Challenge from yesterday. This was a fabulous sketch and I know that I will be using this sketch again. Thanks Taylor!!

My Always in my Thought stamp set was sitting on my table and I really want to ink it up for the first time. I find that I don't have a lot of Get Well cards, so this became my challenge for the night.

I'm really pleased how this card turned out. I just love the colour comboin the Urban Garden Designer Series Paper and decided to use those colours for my card stock.

 

Recipe:Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White, Not Quite Navy Brads, Nesties, Baja Breeze Ribbon, Urban Garden D.S.P, Always in my Thought stamp set, Small Oval Punch, and Silver Elastic Cord.

Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peak and Mojo Sketch

Hello Friday!!!

I finally had a chance last night to work in my studio. I spent some time unpacking my order of supplies with all the new Sale-A-Bration Mini's in it, the new Decor Elements brochure and my new cases of catalogues. This week's Mojo Monday Sketch was a lot of fun. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I was going to use the new Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Botanical Blooms. This stamp set has beautiful floral designs and the best part is that it's 2 step Stampin'. What is 2 step stampin you might ask?? Well, it's when you stamp a bold image in one colour and then stamp over it with a outline stamp in a different colour.

A few more samples...

Hello my friends,

I have a few more samples to show you from the Demo Theatre at our Quarterly Meeting. I have to tell you that these projects were amazing!! It just amazes me what we can create with some paper, stamps and a little imagination!! This is why I love stamping and scrapbooking...the possibilities are endless!!

Corinne (aka Roxy) shows us how to create this cute box out Designer Series Paper.

 

Heather shows us how to create this super adorable Star using the Big Shot machine and the 5 point 3D star die. Love it!! We will so be making these in our Big Shot club for sure!!

Samples of Demo Theatre

Good Day my friends!!!

Exciting news!! Did I tell you that Stampin' Up is coming to London?? Stampin' Up! Spring Regional seminar is coming to London Ontario at the Convention centre. As a demonstrator, I was able to register last week for this event. I'm so excited as this will be my first regional seminar, and it's only 15 minutes away from my house!! Yahoo!!

The other exciting news is that we are able to bring a guest with us. If you are thinking that you would like to see what Stampin' Up has to offer then this is a wonderful opportunity for you. Quarterly Meeting Make and Take

Hello my friends,

First, I want to say a great big "Thank you to Alicia" for hosting another great Quarterly meeting. I always have so much fun at these meeting and one of the best parts is seeing all my stamping friends. The one thing that I love about Stampin' Up is all the lifetime friendship's that I have made through this wonderful hobby of stamping!! 

I wanted to share with you our Make and Take that we made. It's so cute and it uses my favourite tool the Big Shot machine and the Top Note Die!!

We used the new Love you Much Bundle to decorate the Top Note Die. Look how cute those hearts look stamped all over the place!!

 

Here is the inside view....a box filled with yummy Hershey Kisses!! I added the Kisses when I got home.

 

I will have more samples of the amazing projects that were show case during the Demo Theatre over the next few days.

Quarterly Meeting and Rubber Duckie your the one...

Happy Monday,,

I'm very excited as tonight is Alicia Ryckman's Quarterly Demonstrator meeting. I can't wait to see all my stamping' buddies!! I have been asked again to participate in the Demonstrator Theatre. What is a Demo Theatre you ask?? It's where about 6 demonstrator's will demonstrate a variety of projects and techniques to the rest of the group. You have about 10 minutes to show your project and explain how to do it. The group rotates through each station and watch you present your project. It's so much fun and you learn so much from each one!! I always feel so revived and full of energy when I leave, and I have not miss a meeting yet!!

If you want to learn more about being a demonstrator, I would love to answer any questions that you might have. I would love for you to join my family as one of my team members. Watch for an exciting offer in Feb and March if you sign up under me!! Detail will be out in the next week.

I will be demonstrating a Slider Card. These interactive cards are so fun and addicting!! I made this one last week, and that is the one that I will be showing them how to make.

I had to have some samples to show, so I thought I would make a Baby card using the new Level 3 Hostess set called " Goody- Goody Gumdrops".

 

Recipe: Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Bordering Blue and So Saffron card stock, Window word punch, twine, 1 3/8 and 1 1/4" circle punch, Goody Goody Gumdrops Level 3 hostess stamp set,  and Sweet Celebration stamp set.

Over the next few days, I will be sharing with you the other projects from the Demo Theatre.

While, we have had a busy weekend with hockey. Between both girls we had 6 games since Thursday night. They both played really hard, and we did very well this weekend.  We will be soon heading into play-off's so all these games have been very intense...the ones were you are sitting on the edge of your seat!! As a proud mom would say " those are the best games!!!"

So you can see that I really didn't have much time to stamp in my studio.

Taylored Expressions Challenge #52

Yesterday was an exciting day over at Taylored Expressions as they celebrated their first year of cupcake challenges. Taylor has some wonderful challenges for us to participate and some yummy prizes!!

This is one of my favourite birthday sets from Stampin' Up!! Who can resist those yummy cupcakes on the tray just waiting to be eaten. I know I sure can't!! The stamp set that I'm talking about is Crazy for Cupcakes.

I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture but I used Crystal Effects on the icing and cherries to make them look even more yummy!! I decided to give you 2 different layouts with 1 card. Which one do you prefer??

Just Buzzin by card

Happy Friday my friends,

I just can't resist these cute bee's. They are so darn cute!!

I thought I would try watercolouring with the Aqua Painter on my honey pot. Let me tell you, I'm not a big fan of the Aqua Painter as I always have too much water on my tip. I'm sure it's like anything, the more you use the Aqua painter the easier it becomes. I love my blender pen's as I feel I have more control over the blending.  Which do you prefer?? Any tips on how to use the Aqua Painter?? I would love to hear them.

Anyways, here is my card.

 

Recipe: Very Vanilla, More Mustard and Basic Black card stock, Just Buzzin by stamp set, Watercolour paper, Watercolour crayons, Staz-on ink, Blender pen and Aqua Painter.

Sweetest Stem Card

Hello my friends,

First, I would like to say " a big Thank You to everyone that stop by last night for my open house." It sure was great seeing everyone and thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to stop in for a visit.

I wanted to share with you another card that we made this week with my club ladies.  This month cards were made using some of the new and exciting product that are in the new catalogue.

This card uses the new Sweetest stem stamp set along with the Raspberry Tart paper. I think this paper is one of those papers that grows on you over time as it so funky!!

 

Recipe: Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Whisper White card stock, Raspberry Tart D.S.P, Sweetest Stem stamp set, Rose Red ribbon, Regal Rose and Rose Red markers.
