Scallop Bag

Hello,

I hope you are having a great day so far. Our has been busy with hockey practice and a hockey game. I'm looking forward to hanging out on the couch and spending some time scrapbooking tonight with my friends.

I would like to share with you project #2 from our Big Shot club the other night. The girls had fun learning how to make this adorable box using the new Scallop Die and the texturz plates. Using the Big Shot machine, we cut out the Scallop Box die. Then we ran it through again with the new Texturz plates to create an emboss image on the box. Then we decorated it with the new Baja Breeze Valvet Ribbon, Polka Dot punches stamp set and the Level 1 Hostess set Darling Dots.

I have read on some blogs that when you used the Texturz plates you should spray the card stock with Rubbing Alcohol as this makes the emboss image stand out more. Does this not stain the card stock or fade it. Just wondering does this work or is there a different method to try?? I have been added a extra piece of card stock and it has been working. I would love to hear any suggestions that you have??

Cheep Talk

Happy Friday,

Yahoo, we made it to the weekend!! I'm so looking forward to hanging at home, working in my studio and watching my daughters play hockey this weekend.

Last night was the first night for our Big Shot club. These ladies were very excited to start this club and find out all the cool things that this machine can do.

We used the Pillow Box die to create this cute little box that was filled with yummy Hershey Nuggets. We used the new Good Morning Sunshine designer series paper along with the Cheep Talk stamp set. Love it!! I can't wait to make a card with this stamp set along with the Good Morning paper. This stamp set makes me happy as it's reminds me that Spring is just around the corner!!

We used the Curly label punch to create a window in the front of the Pillow Die, and then covered it with a piece of Acetate. We also covered the Hershey Nuggets with designer series paper to give them a decorative look. They love this project!!

 

Recipe:Good Morning Designer Series Paper, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock, Valvet ribbon, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Curly Label Punch, Acetate, Twine, Cheep Talk stamp set, Hershey Nuggets, Pillow Die and the Big Shot Machine.

Sale a Bration Box

Hello,

I wanted to share with you this cute gift box. This was one of the fabulous projects from Ustamp. I was looking for a project to share with the ladies in my Sale-a-Bration class, as I wanted them to be able to put all their finished cards in. I think this is a great way to give your cards as a gift to someone...in a cute decorative gift box.

I used the template that was given on Ustamp and then I changed it around with colours and paper to come up with this.

 

Recipe:Sahara Sand, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Whisper White card stock, Delicate Dots D.S.P, Scallop punch, 1 3/8. 1 1/4" circle punches, Botanical Blooms Stamp set, Sahara Sands ink, So Saffron and More Mustard ink.

Mover and Shaper Die

Happy Wednesday!!

I wanted to share with you another card that the girls made in my Sale-a-Bration class. This card was so quick and easy to make as it uses the new Mover and Shaper Curly Label die along with the Big Shot Machine. This die also coordinates with the new Curly Label Punch. We used the Polka Dot punches stamp set also.

 

Recipe:Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip card stock, Riding Hood Ribbon, Mover and Shaper Curly Label Die, Sincere Salutations stamp set, Curly Label Punch, Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red ink.

Anniversary Card

Hello,

I would like to share with you another card that we will be making in my Sale-a-Bration class this week. They will be making a variety of cards using the Sale-a-Bration stamps, ribbon and designer series paper.

I saw this cute sketch on SCS the other day. I really like the layout of the card and changethe colours and paper around to come up with this. I'm loving the new Full Heart punch that coordinates with the Polka Dot Punches.

I stamped Happy Anniversary in the bottom corner of the card but it's hard to see in the picture. Check out the new Eyelet Punch..oh my gosh this punch makes a beautiful border. Love it!!!

 

Recipe: Bashful Blue and So Saffron ink and card stock, Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper, Polka Dot Punches stamp set, Full Heart punch, Eyelet border punch, and Certainly Celery Ribbon.

Elegant Thank You

On the weekend, I was busy preparing my kits for my upcoming Sale a Bration class. As I was looking for some inspiration for my cards, I decided to turn to my favourite places...other demonstrator's blogs and Splitcoaststampers. As I was searching, I can across this beautiful card. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I saw it. I change around the colours and this is what I came up.

Monkey Around!

Well, it's was some what of a quiet day around here. My youngest was off to the movies with a friend and my oldest had her best friend over. I decided to work in my studio in between laundry loads. At least I was able to finishing all the kits for my upcoming Sale a Bration class. I will be showing you those samples this week.

My very talented friend Heather has been creating adorable animals using her punches. I really like the monkey that she made and decided to give it a try. She has a great tutorial on how to make it and you can view it here.  Here is the monkey that I create today.  I will be adding him to a project so watch for that this week. Ha Ha...just notice that my monkey has no tail!! LOLOL. Will have to add that!!!

 

He is so stinkin' cute!! I can see why these little creatures are so addicting!! Watch for more creations in the future. What a great way to show the many different projects and different ways to use our punches. Thanks Heather for sharing with us!!

Blooms of Thanks

It's been a busy day in our household today!! First, my youngest daughter had her last play-off game for this series and they won!! Which means we move onto the next round of play-offs. Yahoo to go Girls!!

My oldest daughter had her best friend over and my youngest was off to a birthday party.

Finally, I have the chance to sit down and write this post. I want to show you this card that I made lastweek. It's using the new Texturz plates and the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Botanical Blooms. The texturz plates are so much fun and l love the soft embossed look they create!! Check out the new Whisper White Organza Ribbon...love it!! I think this would look so beautiful on Wedding cards. It's very elegant looking!!

I'm really pleased how this card turn out.

Ustamp Project -- Gift Bag

Yahoo, it's Friday!

I'm so looking forward to the weekend. We only have 1 hockey game and I'm can't wait to just hang at home with my family. Both of my girls are having play dates with their friends and I will be working in my studio. I can't wait to play with all my new goodies that arrived this week. I will be showing you some projects next week with them. 

My friends Heather and Dawn started this great on-line class called UStamp. The amazing thing about Ustamp is that they design cool 3-D projects, layouts, cards and so much more. I have joined all the Ustamp session that they have offered and love it. You can check out the Ustamp blog here for more details.

My stamper's 6 club ladies learned how to make this cute purse this week. It was a template from Ustamp for a different project. I changed the template around by using different colours and stamps to make it my own. I used the Botanical Blooms Sale-a-Bration stamp sets to decorated. They all love it!!

Joy Scrapper's 6 Samples

Hello,

Wow, this week is just flying by, I can't believe that it's Thursday already and only one more day till the weekend. I think every week should be a 4 day week!!

I'm looking forward to having my Scrapper's 6 club tonight. This is the first night for this group of talented ladies and I can't wait to spend the next 6 months together.

I figured that everyone would have tons of Christmas pictures to scrapbook right after the holiday. With my scrapper's 6 club, I love to provide the girls with a sketch and let them build their own layout from there. This way they learn how to choose card stock, pattern paper and embellishments to match the colours in their pictures. The one thing that I love about scrapbooking is that we can all start with the same sketch but in the end each layout is different.

 

Here is the other side as it just easier to take the photo's this way.
