Top Note Sympathy card

Hello friends!!

I'm so excited as tonight is my Thinking of You/Sympathy class and I can't wait to see all the ladies in my class. I wanted to show them how versatile a stamp set could be and all the different ways that you can use one stamp set. I designed this class around the Thoughts and Prayer stamp set.

My inspiration for this card came from my good friend Corinne. This was one of the cards that we made at her stamp a stack on Saturday. I love that you can use the Top Note Die for so many different projects. So I totally CASE (copy and share everything) this from her.

Don't you just love the glitter on the flowers??

Recipe: Baja Breeze. Kraft and Chocolate Chip card stock, Urban Garden D.S.P, Top Note Die, Big Shot machine, Thoughts and Prayer stamp set, Wide Oval Punch, Two way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds.

Tomorrow the new Occasion Mini catalogue starts. You are going to love all the new products in it, there is something for every occasion.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,

OCC's Colour Challenge

As I was working on my cards for my Sympathy class, I thought I would design one around this week's OCC challenge. I love participating in challenges because it makes you think outside your creative zone.

When I read this week's colour challenge, I was like "how am I going to use those colour's??" This week's colour challenge was to use Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, More Mustard and any neutral colour that you like.

I designed by card around the tree from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. This stamp set is great for Thinking of you, Get well and Sympathy cards. I embossed the Bashful Blue layer with my Texturz Plates and my Big Shot machine. Check out the new Scallop Oval Punch that will be available in the new Occasion Mini that starts on Wednesday!! Let me know what you think??

Party Hearty!!!

It's been a busy day around here. I spent most of the day preparing kits for my Sympathy class on Tuesday night. I will be showing you samples this week.

Last night we had the chance to go watch game 5 of the OHL playoffs with the Erie Otters against the London Knights. We had so much fun with a group of ours friends and the best part is the London Knights won the game. My girls had so much fun as they cheer on their favourite player John Tavares (they love watching him in World Junior Hockey in Dec). Here are the Knights celebrating their Victory!!

Yesterday, I also had the chance to go to my friend Corinne's Stamp a Stack. I enjoy my time stamping, chatting with friends and making 16 super cute cards. Here is one of the cards that I made.

Enjoy the rest of your evening,

Scallop Mini Album

It's a beautiful sunny day here and I'm so looking forward to spending some time outside. Last Thursday was our Big Shot club. These girls are having a blast learning all about the Big Shot machine and all the different projects that you can make with this amazing die cutter.

At Regionals, Linda showed us how to make a mini album using the Scallop Circle die and the Big Shot machine. I thought this would be a great project to share with my club girls as it show them how you can use chipboard in the Big Shot machine.

We used the new Sweet Slumber D.S.P along with Baja Breeze card stock to cover the chipboard circles. There are 8 Whisper White scallop circles in the middle for pictures and a spots to journal on. We covered the chipboard with a page protector to protect the mini album. Using the Crop-o-dile, we punched a hole near the top and add a ring along with some ribbon to hold it all together.

Recipe: Sweet Slumber D.S.P, Scallop Circle Die, Big Shot machine, Chipboard Coasters, Go-Go Boots alphabet, Baja Breeze, So Saffron  and Rose Red card stock, Ring, So Saffron ribbon, Baja Breeze ribbon, and page protectors.

Have a super day!!

Cheer's to You Watercolour Card

Last weekend, my friend Jodie stopped by. While she was here she gave me a quick lesson on Watercolouring. I have to tell you that watercolouring is not my favourite thing especially using the Aqua Painter.  I always find that I have too much water on my tip!! I would prefer the blender pen any day. But I do love the look the Aqua Painters give. Jodie does an amazing job with watercolouring on her cards and you can check out her projects here.

So she gave me a quick lesson on colouring with the Aqua Painters. After watching her show me how...I have to admit it looks easy. So I thought I would give it a try using the stamp set Cheer's to you.  I just have to remember to practice....practice...and more practice. Watch for a Watercolouring class in the future that if I can master this!! LOLOL.

I stamped the image with Staz-on ink onto Watercolour Paper. When using the Aqua Painter you want to use the Watercolour paper as it absorbs the water better then our Whisper White card stock. Then using my pool of ink (press on lid to get a pool of ink) from my ink pad, I coloured the image in using my Aqua Painter. I'm pleased how it turned out...especially since it's my first attempted.

Recipe: Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip card stock, Riding Hood Red D.S.P, Watercolour Paper, Riding Hood Ribbon, Cheer's to you stamp set, Very Versatile stamp set, Staz On ink, Aqua Painter, Basic Grey, Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red ink.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Computer almost ready!!!! :)

Thanks for checking in the last few days. Well, my computer is fixed. We needed a new motherboard and it's ready to go. My husband is just setting it back up and running the virus scan on it.

Blogging Break due to Computer Problems

I hope you all had a great Monday!! Well, we survived our 1st day back after the March Break holidays. It sure was nice to have a week off but it's nice to be back into a routine. The girls were excited to go back to school so that they could see their friends.

Sad main computer is in the repair shop. Last week, it decided to shut down on us for no reason and then we couldn't turn it back on. My husband was able to get it up and running but we decided that we should have it looked at. They said that it might be the motherboard. So we just waiting to hear back from them on what the problem is. I'm hoping to have it back by Wed.

Since all my pictures are on my main computer, I won't be able to share any creations with you. I'm working off my laptop right now and it's not the same. It's an older version and it's slow!!! It's amazing how much you miss something when you don't' have it. I can't believe how much I used my computer. I think I'm having computer withdrawals....lolol!!!

Please bare with me while my computer is away and as soon as I have it back, there will be creations to show you!! I will give you an update tomorrow night as to when that might be.

Thanks for stopping by and being so understanding,

Wedding Invitations

It's been a busy day here. I spent most of the day working on some card kits, cleaning up my stamp area, laundry, re-arranging my shelves(re-organizing bins) and hanging out with my family. I can't believe that I go back to work tomorrow, and I'm not looking forward to making lunches again.

Barnyard Tails

Good Morning,

I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to relaxing this weekend. This is the first weekend that we don't have hockey. Boy does it feel weird not having to go to the rink but it also feels good just hanging out at home.

I wanted to share with you some Wow Presentation from Regionals. We were very lucky to have 4 local demonstrator's share their talent with us on stage. Heather Summers show us her amazing creations with SU punches. Did you ever think that you could make cute farm animal with your punches? Well, you can and wait to you see them!!

I think the best part of these cards were the back of it, seeing those cute tails...aah so cute!!

Of course, you need a cute holder for all your cards...well when you have farm animals you need a barn.

I think this is one project that I need to make. What a great idea to give for a birthday gift. Watch for some cute animal creations coming your way soon. Maybe it might be a class idea!!

Remember you have only have 10 more days to earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set by either placing a $60 order ( online here, then click shop now or by emailing me), hosting a workshop or even joining as a demonstrator.
