Old Pickup Truck

Hello my friends,

As, I was looking for a card to show you today, I came across one that I made a few weeks ago. This was one that we made in my Stamper's 6 club. I wanted to show them how you can dry emboss on your cards. We made the circles by using our Classy Brass Punches Plus Templates and the Empressor Stylus.

This stamp set is great for guy cards. I really like that you can also watercolour with the stamp set Loads of Love.

Recipe: Large Oval punch, Loads of Love stamp set, Classy Brass Templates, Empressor Stylus, Watercolour crayons, Blender Pen, Family Phrases stamp set, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Whisper White card stock.

Quarterly Meeting Demo Sample

Oh, my gosh...wait till you see this gorgeous card by a fellow demonstrator named Mary Haden. Mary was one of demonstrator that took part in Demonstrator Theater at Alicia's Quarterly Meeting last week. This was the first time that Mary took part in presenting to the group and I'm sure it won't be her last!!

She wowed us with her beautiful and stunning technique. This technique was done using watercolouring paper, spritzing it and dropping dots of re-inkers on top and swishing it around. Then you press your stamp into paper towels with bleach on it and then onto your card. Wow, is all I can say!! I can't wait to give this a try!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Baby Card

Happy Monday!!

I hope you had a great weekend and that you were able to enjoy all the sunshine that we had.

As I was going through my cards, I realized that I don't have a lot of baby cards on hand. So I thought I should make some. I really like the giraffe from the Wild about you stamp set and thougth it would make a super cute baby card. I stamp my giraffe in So Saffron and used the Close to Cocoa marker to colour in his spots.

Recipe: Whisper White, So Saffron, and Close to Cocoa card stock, Wild about you and Curvy Verses stamp set, So Saffron ink, and Close to Cocoa marker.

Have a super day!!

A Big Scrap and Crop Thank You

I hope you had a great weekend. I had a fabulous time with a great group of ladies at the Scrap and Crop event. This all weekend event was at the Festival Inn in Stratford. I haveto say that this event will go down in history. We had a major storm on Saturday afternoon and we were without power for 4 hours. I have to say that it didn't stop all those ladies from SCRAPBOOKING as they were still scrapbooking in the dark!!!

I would like to say a big "THANK YOU" to all the ladies that I met this weekend at the Scrap and Crop. Your patronage was greatly appreciated. A great big "Thank You" to Alicia for organizing this fabulous event and I look forward to the seeing you at the next Scrap and Crop event or upcoming classes in my studio!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Watercolouring 101- Pencil Crayons

It's a beautiful day here!! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and most of the it's warm outside!! The temperature is suppose to be in the low 20's. Gotta love it!!!

I wanted to share with you the last sample of Watercolouring 101 -- Pencil Crayons. I really enjoy using my pencil crayons on images and then blending them with my Aqua Painter or my Blender Pen. The only thing I wish was that they were more true to their colour and that they match the SU colour families.

Here is the last sample in my Watercolouring 101 class -- Pencil Crayons!!

Recipe: Pretty in Pink,Whisper White and Mellow Moss card stock, Gift Note card, Watercolour paper, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Watercolour Pencil Crayons, and an Aqua Painter.

Watercolouring 101-- Crayons

Happy Friday,

I'm so glad that it's Friday!! We are suppose to have gorgeous weather here this weekend with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures.

I have to say that one of my favourite ways to colour in a stamp image is with my Watercolour Crayons. I love the fact that they come in the 4 colour family and that you can match the crayons to your card stock. I love the soft look that it creates when you use your blender pen and your Aqua Painter.

On this card, I used Mojo Monday sketch #82. Here is another sample in my Watercolouring 101 Class -- Watercolour Crayons.

Recipe: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, and Chocolate Chip card stock, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Border Punch, Watercolour Paper, Aqua Painter, Wagon Full of Fun stamp set, Watercolour Crayons, and Note cards.

Have fun in the Sunshine!!

Watercolouring 101 -- Craft Ink

Did you know that you can watercolour with the craft ink using the Aqua Painter and the Blender Pens? I did not know this, until I saw it demonstrator at Stampin' Up Regionals. What a great way to use your craft ink more often!!

I usually don't use craft ink as it takes so long for the ink to dry. But I have to say that I really like the look when you use it for watercolouring.

Here is another sample in my Watercolouring class 101 -- Craft Ink

Recipe: Whisper White Note Cards, Mellow Moss, Really Rust, Bordering Blue card stock, Watercolour paper, Scallop Oval Punch, Oval All stamp set, Wagon Full of Fun stamp set, Staz-on ink, Craft Earth Elements Spots and an Aqua Painter.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Watercolouring 101 -- Chalks

I thought it was time to dust off the dust bunnies on my Stampin' Pastels. I have to say that I bought these long time ago and this was probably the first time that I used them. Isn't it funny how scrapbooking trends change so quickly. I remember when chalks were so popular!!!

So, did you know that you can use your Aqua Painter or your Blender Pen with the Stampin' Pastels also know as chalk. It creates a soft look on your paper. I really like how this turned out!! I will be using my chalks more often now!!!

Here is another sample in my Watercolour 101 Class -- Chalks

Recipe: Watercolour Paper, Aqua Painter, Stampin' Pastels, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy and Bashful Blue card stock, Family Phrases stamp set, Wagon Full of Fun and Note cards.

Have a great day!!

Watercolouring 101 -- Classic Ink

First, I would like to say a big thank you to Alicia for another great Quarterly meeting last night. I love seeing my friends, and all the great demonstrations!! I will be sharing some of the projects later this week.

I think that one of my favourite ways to watercolour is with our classic ink and an Aqua Painter. I was never a big fan of the Aqua Painter until my friend Jodie show me how easy it really is. I always had way too much water on my tip. Jodie gave me some great tips and it really makes a difference. Thanks Jodie!!

I really like this stamp set Wagon Full of Fun. How cute is this with the flower pot in the wagon?? This would be a great get well card, a birthday card or a thank you card. This is another sample for my Watercolouring 101 class as this was made with our Classic Inks and the Aqua Painter.

Recipe: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive card stock, Good Morning Sunshine D.S.P, Wagon Full of Fun stamp set, Classic inks, Watercolour paper and an Aqua Painter.
