Vintage Vogue Friends Card

Yahoo, it's finally snowing here! It has been snowing since Monday morning and it's still snowing. It has been blowing around all day. Sometimes, I can't even see my neighbours house with all the blowing snow. I know that my girls are exciting to go play in the snow today and I can't wait to capture all those fun moments on camera!

I want to share with you a new stamp set from the upcoming Occasion Mini. This mini starts on January 5th and you are going to love it. There are many new exciting products like Satin Ribbon, Clear Mount Stamp and new punches in a new style that you will love. I will be sharing more details soon with you about these new products.

This new exciting stamp set is called Vintage Vogue and it's part of Shelli's Signature Collection. I just love the designs on these stamp sets. This set will be great to use for any occasion.

I did a little Rocking and Rolling on my flowers. First, I stamped them in Pretty in Pink ink and then I rolled the stamp in Regal Rose. When you do this it just highlights the edges of the images with a darker colour. Gotta love it!!

I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa was good to you. I have been having fun playing with my new camera and tripod.  I have also been playing around with my new software program Photoshop Elements. Boy there is lots of things that you can do with the program. I was excited that I figure out how to insert my watermark on to pictures. Now I just have to figure out all the editing options.

I wanted to share with you the card that I made for my niece as she turned 19th this month. I knew that Totally Tess would be perfect for her. The best thing about Totally Tess is that you can use her for any occasion. The new Designer Series Paper is so gorgeous and sparkly. You can't tell from the picture in the Occasion Mini, but trust me you want to order this paper!

MDS- Sweet Fun!!

The other night, our good friends Jeff, Michelle and Jacob came over for a visit. While they were here, the kids decided that they wanted to decorate the Gingerbread Sleigh. They had so much fun that I just had to share one of the layouts with you. I will share the other layout with you in the next few days.

While they were decorating the sleigh, Emily and Jacob decided to be goofy with the icing. As they were being goofy, they got into an icing fight. It was so funny, that us adults just watch because we were laughing so hard. Good thing, I had that new camera on hand to capture these great photo's of Emily and Jacob.

I wanted to keep my layout simple as I wanted the pictures to tell the story. The one trick that I want to share with you, is how I did the writing. Once I had my title and journalling done, I changed the Opacity to 100% to create the shadow under the writing and changed the font to white. I wanted it to look like frosting on the sleigh. I'm really happy with how this page turned out.

Snowflake Ornaments

Good Morning,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. We sure did. It was so much fun this year with the girls. They were so excited that they couldn't fall asleep on Christmas Eve, I think it was after midnight and then they were up at 6:50 on Christmas Morning. They just loved their presents!!!

I will be sharing pictures with you over the next few days on some MDS pages, I just need to figure out my new camera and how to use Photoshop Elements. Santa also decided that I needed a tripod to help with my photo's for my blog.

So here we were testing out the new camera along with the Tripod. So what do you think??

My friend Michelle and I were busy elves the other night making some of these Pop Can ornaments to give as gifts. These are so cool. This one was made using a Pepsi and a Coke can.

Recipe: Snowflake Die, Big Shot Machine, Pepsi and Coke can, Clear Rhinestone Brads and Silver Cord.

I hope that Santa is good to you!!

Twas the Night Before Christmas....

Good Morning,

Well, tonight is the big night. My girls are so excited, I'n not sure if today will go by fastest enough for them. I have lots of fun things planned for them so I'm sure it will. We are going to decorate our Gingerbread house this afternoon and tonight we will be watching the Santa Claus Parade.

In our town, the local fire department presents the town with a Santa Claus Parade. The unique thing about our parade is that it goes to all the streets in town. So you can watch from the comfort of your own front yard. This has become a tradition that we don't miss each year and one of the reason we love living in a small town.

Don't you just love the Wandering Words stamps set?? I love the Santa and his reindeer image. Santa is flying over the trees on a frosty winter night. I used the Dryer Technique with Dazzling Diamonds to create my card today.

I heard him say as he drove out of sight.....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!

Merry Christmas,

Joy Wall Hanging

Only 2 more days to go, are you ready yet?? Today the girls and I are doing some baking. They want to make their favourite cookies for Santa. I can't wait to smell all those yummy cookies in the oven.

I wanted to share with you, one of the projects that we made at my Christmas Mystery Night. I saw this cute idea on Barb's blog. As soon as I saw it I knew that we just had to make it. The girls loved this project. We kept it plain as they want to add their own embellishments at home.

This cute Decor decoration uses the Scallop Square Die, The Serif Letters, and the Petals a Plenty folder along with the Big Shot Machine.

Off to do some baking, enjoy the rest of your day,

Oh my gosh, wait till you see the new Mini Milk Carton die in the new Occasions Mini.  It make a cute Milk Carton that you can filled with yummy treats. I thought it would make a great treat holder for Christmas. I decided to decorate mine with a Reindeer made from punches.

As I was making him, I thought he would be super cute as a table favor with your guest name on it. You could write their name on the Modern Label punch.
