I saw this super cute Gate Fold card on Corinne's blog. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I had to make one. She did a great video on how to make this card. Check it out!

I {Heart} Hearts

Good Afternoon,

I'm so proud to be a part of the Stampin' Up family. As I'm amazed at how they reach out to others in need. Last week, Shelli had on her blog that workers spent most of their breaks and lunches making up kits to send off to Haiti. You can read all about it here.

I want to help with the Haiti Relief Campaign by encouraging you to purchase the stamp set I {Heart} Hearts.

Help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12. From now until February 28, 2010, Stampin’ Up!® will set aside $2 from the sale of every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and donate it to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

I {Heart} Hearts – clear-mount (block D recommended) $24.95

Faux Silk

Happy Day!!

I hope you are having a great day!!

I was very excited to start my new club this week  I would like to say a big thank you to Sherry, Tina, Nichole, and Gayle (we missed you Jade and Annette) for all the laughs the other night in our Technique Club. With this club, each month you will learn 2 amazing techniques and make a 6 by 6 sample reference card.

Have you ever thought about joining a club??

Joining a club is a great way to build up your stamp collection and supplies gradually!!  Each month one of the club members will be “hostess” without actually having to host an in-home workshop. Which means when it’s your turn your will automatically receive the first level hostess benefits or more just from being in the club, plus at least $20 in FREE product. You do not have to know all the club members; unless you want to get your own club together, it’s a great way to meet new people. All clubs are held in my stamp studio, so you bring your wish list with you on club nights and come out for some stampin’ fun!!!

If this sounds fun to you and you would like more information about the clubs I offer, please email me.

So at the club the other night we learned the Faux Silk Technique. This is an amazing technique. First you are going to stamp an image onto a piece of tissue paper. Crumble up your tissue paper and then smooth it out. Using the Anywhere Glue stick, you are going to apply your glue to a piece of Whisper White card stock, next lay your piece of tissue on top of the card stock and then smooth it out. Volia...you have Faux Silk.

We used the stamp set Upsy Daisy. First we stamped the image in Pale Plum onto the tissue paper and then we restamp the image in Perfect Plum just slightly off the image. This is called Shadow Stamping.

All the ladies were very excited about cool technique!!

My Snow Angel -- MDS

Hello,

Last night, I sat down to create a page in My Digital Studio. I think that I have done more pages this way then I did traditional last year. LOL I don't know about you, but I find it so easy to complete a layout in MDS and it takes half the time. Just a click here and there, and then you are done!!!

Don't get me wrong, I plan to scrapbook the traditional way also, I just need to send my pictures off to be printed. I think that I will make that a challenge for me and I will show you a page in the next few weeks.

I had fun creating this layout of my daughter. She had fun making a snow angel in fresh snow and I was excited to capture that moment on film.
