Something Sweet Make and Take

Good Morning,

I'm super excited to show you my project today. This project was inspired by the famous Becky Roberts over at Inking Idaho. Becky is one creative person!! Thanks for the inspiration Becky!!!

Today my friend Lori and I are hosting the Two Scrapbooking Girls Cropping Event to raise money for the Expansion Project for our local arena. We are expanding our arena with a second ice pad, a walking track, and a gym. This new arena should be completed by September. As a community we can't wait!!

I wanted to share my make and take with you. This project was cased from Becky and it uses the new Something Sweet stamp set in the Occasions Mini. This stamp set coordinates with the Sweet Treat Cups.

Here is the inside of the card...a secret trap door for the chocolate!!

Things I love....

I have looked at this stamp set so many times in the catalogue and thought it was very cute. So it stayed on my wish list for awhile. Then as I was placing my order and selecting my FREE Sale a Bration product, I noticed that this stamp set was in there. I was so excited to order this and as soon as it came I had to ink it up!!

Every week on my Downline Blog, I give the ladies a colour challenge. They are to use the colours on either a card, a scrapbook layout or a 3D item.

These week's colours were Rose Red, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and a Neutral. I picked these colours from the Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper. If you would like to play along, leave me a comment linking me to your project! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Here is what I came up with. The Rose Red card stock was embossed using the Polka Dots Impression Folder.

Shattered Glass Technique

I hope you are having a great day!!

I wanted to share with you the other technique that we made at our Technique Club last week. The ladies loved this one!! They learned all about the Shattered Glass.

Shattered Glass is when you stamp a desired images on a piece of card stock. All colouring and sponging must be done before embossing. Take stamped card stock and completely coat with Versamark ink. Coat with Glassy Glaze embossing powder, and heat with heat tool. You will need to do 2-3 coats of embossing powders to get coating thick. Then cool, placing in freezer will speed this process up. Then bend card stock to crack the Glaze coating.

Rock and Roll Technique--Vintage Vogue

I hope you are having a great day. I'm so sorry for the late post.

Last week at our Technique Club, the ladies learned how to Rock and Roll. This is so cool.

To Rock and Roll, you are going to: Ink up a solid image with a light ink colour. Roll the edges of the stamp in a circular motion on a darker ink colour. Stamp the image onto card stock. Clean stamp off before repeating process.

I really like the card that I made last week using Vintage Vogue stamp set. So I cased my card and changed up the colours. We inked the flowers in Bermuda Bay and then rolled them in Black. all I can say!!

Upsy Daisy Easel Card

I hope you are having a great Saturday!!

This is one of the cards that we made last night in our Stamper's 6 club. I showed the girls how to make an Easel card. Now this was done with a sheet of card stock cut at 4 by 12 and scored at 4,6,8 inches. Then you just fold it up to create your easel card.

We did some Shadow stamping on it by stamping the main flowers first in Rich Razzleberry then we stamp again without re ink the stamp in between. This will give you an lighter image on the second stamp.

The butterfly was embossed using the new Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die!! These are so gorgeous!!

The background was embossed using the new Polka Dots Impression Folder.

Happy Birthday Frog Punch Card

Last night, I had a blast with my Simply Punches for Kids class. The special thing about this class is that the child get to do it with their mom. I loved watching them work together to create a project using our punches. We also made a 6 by 6 reference card so that they would remember down the road on how to make it.

When creating this class, I asked Alison "what should we make??" She reply with a "Frog mommy!".

So with Alison approval, we came up with this card. Now this card was inspired by my good friend Heather.

Vintage Vogue

The latest crazy in the stamping world seems to be vintage. This is not a style that I do a lot of and decided it was time to try it out. I'm not sure why I was holding back on making these cards as it's just a different style. I love how this card turned out!

I decided to dig deep into some colours that I have not used in a long time. So for my card today, I used Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Rich Razzleberry. These colours are so rich together. The flowers along the side are stamped in Versamark.

Something else that I have noticed a lot of these days is buttons with linen thread through them. So I thought I would add it to my card to give it more of a vintage feel.

So what do you this a vintage card??

Extreme Guitar Birthday Card

Good Morning,

One of the things that I love most about being a demonstrator is all the friends that I have met along the way. Some of these friends have become my best friends and I can't imagine life without them. I can't tell you how much I love my downline, these ladies are amazing and they bless my life in so many ways.

Last week, I gave them a colour challenge on our downline blog. The colours that I gave them were Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Whisper White and Kraft.

I decided that I want to make a birthday card for my Nephew as his birthday is coming up. I used the stars from the Extreme Elements and stamp them on the Kraft card stock using Versamark. Then I stamped the Extreme Guitar in Chocolate Chip onto of all the stars. The greeting is from Family Phrases.

The Chocolate Chip layer was embossed using the Polka Dots Impression Folder along with the Big Shot Machine. Boy, do I love that Embossing Folder!!
