Quick and Simple Card

Good Morning,

Yesterday afternoon, I had a chance to work on some projects for the week. I really wanted to make a quick and simple card to show you. These 3 by 3 cards are great to make especially when you are in a hurry or need a last minute card for a gift.

My card today uses the new Two Step Bird Punch. This punch is so simple and with one punch you have yourself a branch, a bird and a wing. Do you know that you can make a tulip with the wings?? I will be showing you later this week how to do that!

Simply Sketch #5

Hello,

I had to say that these are not my usually colours. One of my co-workers loves to shop. When I saw the stamp set Things I love, I knew that I had to make her a set of cards using this set. Her favourite things to shop for are shoes, and clothing!! One day as we were talking I asked her what her favourite colours were. She replied" Bright Green, Purple and Black""

Well, I took this as a challenge and came up with this card. Now, as I said" These are not colours I would  normally use, but they do look great together. They are Gable Green, Lovely Lilac and Black.

So I gave the cards to my coworker on Monday and she loved them!! Actually she screamed with delight as she was so excited..she favourite part was the shoes, the shopping bag and the chocolate images.

My inspiration for the sketch came from the Simply Sunday sketch on Heather's Blog.

Our Patient

Hello,

Well, all went well with the surgery yesterday. The surgery was a little longer then anticipated as they had to do more to the knee then they original thought. He is resting on the couch and is very excited that he is pain free!!

The girls were so excited to see daddy last night that they played doctor/patient with him all night. They were even up extra early to make sure the patient was doing well.

Both girls decided to write up their own prescription for him as they want to make sure he followed their directions. You know that I just had to take pictures of this!!

I love that you can create a page in My Digital Studio in less 10 minutes!!

Toteally Tess Note Holder

Hello,

I'm super excited to show you my project today.

I have been working on some project that show case all the wonderful things that you can do with the Big Shot Machine. Did you know that it will cut through 50 different types of material? One of them being Cork. While I was shopping last week, I picked up a roll of cork from a local business supply store.

I wanted to create a notepad holder using the cork. I ran the cork through the Big Shot machine with the Scallop Square die and glued 2 pieces of cork between a piece of chipboard. I used the Go Go Boots letters to create my title. Of course, I had to use my favourite stamp set Tote-ally Tess.

Recipe: Tote-ally Tess CM stamp set, Taken with Teal, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Blush Blossom and Chocolate Chip markers, Cork, Scallop Square Die, Big Shot Machine, Go-Go Boots Alphabet Dies, Sweet Pea D.S.P, Block D and I.

I'm a little nervous today as my husband is having surgery. Please pray that all goes well!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day,

Inspired Bird Punch Card

Happy Monday,

Well, it's a sad day here as we all head back to school. I wish that we could have one more week...to relax and chill out. As much as I love being home, it's also great to be back into a routine.

Sorry for not posting yesterday, we spent the day with our friends Jeff, Michelle, Jacob and Joe ( Jacob's friend) at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. We had so much fun checking out the displays, recording a live broadcast, visiting the Montreal Canadian's dressing room and checking out the Stanley Cup. I'm in the process of working on a page in MDS and I will be sharing that with you at the end of the week.

On Saturday, I spent the afternoon stamping the hours away. I had so much fun just stamping for fun with no projects in mind. I made a list of the products and stamp set that I wanted to use when I created my projects. I'm excited to show you my projects this week.

I have to say this is the first time that I used the new Bird Punch. I have used the branches before but never the bird. My inspiration for this card came from a project that my good friend Heather gave me.
