Butterfly Punch Scallop Bag

Hello,

One of my favourite things is to make creatures using our punches. It's amazing what you can do with circles and ovals!! This was one of the projects that we made in my kid's punch class. They really enjoyed making the Scallop Bag.

The Scallop Bag was made using the Scallop Die and the Big Shot machine.

The Butterfly was created using the Small Oval, Wide Oval, 3/4" Circle punch and 1 3/8" circle punch.

Crazy for Cupcakes

Hello,

I wanted to share with you another card that we made in our Technique Class. This month we learned about Paper Piecing. This is a really cool technique. All you do is stamp you image onto card stock or pattern paper and cut out the image. Then you piece the images together to create your stamp image. It works really well with an outline images.

For this card, we used the Crazy for Cupcake stamp set. We stamped the cupcake image onto Chocolate Chip card stock and then on to the To the Nines Designer Series Paper. We then cut out the images and pieced them together on our card.

The colours on our card was Sage Shadow, Kraft and Chocolate Chip!

Heartfelt Thanks

Hello,

I wanted to share with you one of the cards that I made in the ShoeBox Swap. This card was designed by the very talented Martha. I really like how Martha outlined the stamp image with a marker when she was finished stamping. It gives a really cool shaded look. Check out the leaves, as this will show you the shading part done with a marker.

The stamp set is Heartfelt Thanks. I love the colours on this card.

King of the Grill

Hello,

I hope you are having a great day. It's been a busy one around here with running errands and hockey.

Last week, I had a great time stamping with a great group of ladies at Heather's downline meeting. At this meeting, Heather organized a Shoe Box swap for us to do as something different. It was so much fun!! We each made 6 cards and I learned some new techniques!!

I wanted to show the ladies how to do the Spotlight Technique. The Spotlight technique is where you stamp your main image onto a piece of card stock and then stamp it again onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then you punch it out with 1 3/4" circle punch. Colour in your image using markers, pencil crayons or watercolour crayons. Now you are going to pop up your image onto your piece of card stock. This will create the spotlight as you are only highlighting certain areas of your image.

Vintage Vogue

Hello,

I'm super excited as tonight is our Vintage Vogue class. I'm really looking forward to see all the ladies in the class and I'm excited to share this fun stamp set with them. The vintage look is not something I do a lot of but I do love the look! I know that this trend is very popular right now in the Stampin'  and Scrapbooking industry.

While I was searching for some inspiration, I turned to my favourite place which is the Stampin' Connection. This online community is for Demonstrator's and it awesome. You can spend hours on it!

While searching the Vintage Vogue samples, I came across this one made from my friend Jodi K. Jodi is a very creative and talented demonstrator. I loved the card so much that I had to CASE it. Thanks for the inspiration Jodi!!

Fifth Avenue

Hello,

It's been a busy week around here and it's only Wednesday!!! It feels like it should be the weekend already!

I wanted to share with you another card that I made using the Fifth Avenue stamp set. I have been working on my watercolouring. This is one technique that you need to practice at. I have learned that you need to have just the right amount of water on your Aqua Painter tip so that the colour flows better!! You don't want too much water as it takes forever to dry.

So what do you think??

King of the Grill

Hello,

I'm super excited to show you this fun technique called Spotlighting. This is one of the new stamp sets in the upcoming Summer Mini called King of the Grill. It's a great set for all the men in our lives. You can create either a birthday or a Father's Day card with this set as there is greetings for both.

So for Spotlighting.... First you are going to stamp you main image onto a piece of card stock and then stamp it again onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Now you are going to punch it out with 1 3/4" circle punch. Colour in your image using markers, pencil crayons or watercolour crayons. Now you are going to pop up your image onto your piece of card stock. This will create the spotlight as you are only highlighting certain areas of your image.

As you can see from my card, I'm only focusing on the Chef and some of the BBQ.
