This week Emily and her classmates participated in their first ever Co-Ed Soccer tournament. Now let me tell you that this team was put together in about a week and was made up with mostly Grade 7 and 8 students.

This past Tuesday was there big tournament. They played 5 games and ended up placing 2nd overall. My friend Ellen was on hand to capture these special moments. Since she loves MDS as much as I do , she create this fun page for the girls! Her daughter Sam and my Emily are BFF's!!!

I wanted to share one of the cards that we made on the weekend at Sheila's workshop!! Sheila asked to make some cards using products from the Holiday so of course,  I had to use my favourite product line...SPICE CAKE!!

Christmas Lodge

When I was planning for my Christmas club, I knew that I wanted to use this stamp set, but every time that I looked at it I was drawing a blank as to what to make. So I decided to turn to my favourite place for inspiration..the Stampin Connection. This unique website is for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and it connects us to others all over North American.

So I did a search on this set and came across this beautiful card by Debbie Currier. Thanks for the inspiration!! Now I added Dazzling Details to my snow to make it more real looking!!

Gently Falling Card

I hope you had a great weekend! We had a fabulous weekend with meeting new friends at my open house and at Sheila's workshop!! I look forward to seeing you soon at an upcoming classes. Halloween Bouncing Brayer Card

First I would like to say a big thank you to all the ladies that stop by yesterday for my open house! It was so nice seeing old friends and meeting new ones. It was great chatting with you and I look forward to seeing you at upcoming class. The winner of the door prize was Laura!!

 I wanted to share with you one of the cards that we made at technique club this month. I wanted to show the ladies how to do bouncing brayer. I decided to do a Halloween card as I thought it would look really cool with a spooky background.

For Bouncing Brayer: Using a brayer and an ink pad, ink up the brayer. You want to lift the brayer each time you are inking it. This way the ink will be even on the roller. Bounce the brayer on glossy cardstock making sure to keep one end of the brayer at the center of the cardstock. Continue to bounce brayer on cardstock while rotating cardstock with free hand. Re-ink brayer as needed. Once you have the desired look, stamp your image with Staz-on ink.

I love how this card turned out!! Very Spooky!!!

Recipe: Black, Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie card stock, Black Taffeta Ribbon, Jewellery Tag Punch, Spider Web Impression Folder, House of Haunts stamp set, Glossy White Paper and Big Shot Machine.

One of my favourite products for the Big Shot machine is the our Impression Folders. I love the added detail of the spider web behind the house. Way too cool!!!

Spice Cake Cork Board

Hello,

I'm so excited as today is my Holiday Mini Open house and I can't wait to show you all the wonderful products that I have been creating. You can stop by anytime from 2 pm to 7pm, there will be tons of displays, class samples,make and takes, munchies and a new product line will be reveal that we are launching in October. I hope you can join us!!

My inspiration for my project today came from Convention. Donna show us how to make this while on main stage. I knew that I wanted to recreate this with my favourite Spice Cake Fabric!!

I used our fabric to decorate a piece of 12 by 12 cork. Then I add 1/8" Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon along with our new yummy Spice Cake Buttons! I used the Gently Falling stamp set to create the leaves in the corner and my greeting is from the new Hostess set called Warmest of Wishes (in the Holiday Mini). The best thing about this project, there was no sewing involved!!

Froggy Purse

Gently Falling Baby Wipes Technique

Hello,

Last week at our technique club, I had fun showing the ladies the Baby Wipe Technique. I have done this technique in the past but knew I had to show this group how to do it using my favourite fall set: Gently Falling!!

I can't believe how real my leaves look!! I don't know if I told you but Fall is my favourite season!! I love the cooler days, the beautiful colours in the leaves and all the fun events that only happen in the fall!!

Baby Wipe Technique: Fold a baby wipe in half and then again. Using Reinker, drop a few drops of your light colour first onto the baby wipe and then repeat with the darker colour. Then take your stamp and stamp it into the baby wipe and then onto your project. The cool thing about this is you can create any colour of ink pad that you want!! How fun is that!!!

Recipe: Soft Suede, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, and More Mustard card stock, Hostess Stamp Happiest Birthday Wishes, 1 3/4" circle punch, Soft Suede 1 1/4" Ribbon, Baby Wipes, Gently Falling stamp set, More Mustard and Cherry Cobbler reinker.
