Graduation Card

Hello,

Yahoo, it's the last day of school!! The girls and I are so excited and can't wait to enjoy the lazy days of summer!

What a fabulous night we had last night!! All 85 grads (yes there was 85 students) looked stunning in their suits and dresses. The night flew by and was enjoyed by all. There were many times, when I fought back the tears as I was so proud of my girl! First she looked stunning in her grad dress and it was hard to believe that she is growing up before our eyes! My other favourite part was watching her laugh with her friends, and being silly with them by jumping on a trampoline in their dresses!

My other special moment was when she won the Geography award! This was Emily's goal to win an award at grad and we are so proud of her!!

I wanted to share the card that I made her for Graduation. My inspiration for my card came from my friend Dawn O.

MDS- Camping Frame

Hi,

I'm so excited to show you my next insert for my frame series class. When we were brainstorming idea's in the spring, the ladies wanted a Camping Frame. I said "Oh that would be easy...Wrong!" The only thing that I could find on line was a punch art camp fire.

So I need to think of another way to create a camping theme frame. So I turned to My Digital Studio to help me out! Oh, I was so excited as I used the new Great Outdoors Brush Stamp to help me create the images that I need.

In MDS, I sized them to the size that I wanted, changed the colour and printed them at home. I did multiple layers so the I could build up my images and make them pop. This technique is called "Paper Tole".

I have to tell you that the ladies LOVE IT!. They all said that this was their favourite one so far!!

I wanted to show you the Tent, the Smores, and the Chair up close! Makes me want to eat a Smores...YUMMY!

Here is the tent. The bottom layer is in black and the next two layers are in Always Artichoke.

The chair was also printed in black, then the next two layers in Early Espresso.

As you can see there are many ways to use My Digital Studio instead of just for cards and photo albums!

I wonder what fun new exciting downloads will be out today. Head over to my online store to check them.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day,

Stamp On...

Happy Monday,

I finally had a chance to stamp and play with my new goodies that I had ordered from the new catalogue. My goal was to put my clear mount stamp sets together and make a project with it before it went on the shelf.

I love looking thought the catalogue for inspiration like a card sketch, colour combo or a fun way to use one of the new product. One of the samples caught my eye for the colour combo and I knew that I had to give it a try.

Recipe: Basic Grey, Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo and Whisper White card stock, Basic Grey Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool Gun, Carry On stamp set, Island Indigo Ink, Rhinestones, and Regals Designer Series Paper.

Aren't these colours striking together? I think I will have to make another card with these colours.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Papillon Potpourri

HI

I hope you are having a great day! Its been a busy one around here but fun!!

If you have been watching the trend in the card marking world, you will know that Butterflies are huge right now. I was so excited when I saw this new stamp set in the catalogue and the best part is that it has a matching punch!! I love when stamp sets coordinate with punches as it makes your stamping experience so much easier!!

My card today was inspired by a layout that I saw on Erica Cerwin blog. Erica is one talented Stamper!!

Recipe: Lucky Limeade and Whisper White card stock, Oval Punch, Lucky Limeade Baker Twine, Simply Score Tool and Diagonal Plate, Papillon Potpourri stamp set, Midnight Muse, Bashful Blue and Marnia Mist ink, Petite Pairs stamp set and Rhinestones.

I used the Simply Score Tool to create the embossed background. It's hard to see in the pictures, but they are criss cross on the inner section, and 1" in on all four sides.

Best Friends Frame

Hello,

I hope you are having a great weekend!

Alison had a birthday party to go to this weekend and her friend loves homemade gifts! I told Alison she should decorate an wooden frame that I had with her mini punch creations that she likes to make.

She used the retired Serif Letters and the Simple Alphabet letters to create the title and a variety of punches to create the mini animals.
