Thanks for the sweet comments yesterday on my video. I'm having fun and I do have more to share with you in the next few weeks. Yesterday, I told you that I was going to share a card that I made using the supplies from my August Paper Pumpkin kit and how I stepped it up.

I love using sketches as they help me think outside my creative zone. I saw this really cool sketch over at Hand Stamped Sentiments and thought I would give it a try. Now I used the basic sketch design to create my card!!

This week's sketch....

And here is my card....

MDS-Weekly Menu

Wow, I can't believe that we have one week left of Summer holidays, and that we start back to school next week! I know that the girls are excited to see their friends and meet their new teachers and me on the other hand really wishes I could stay home full time! I know once I get there I will be fine it's just hard going back after being home for two months.

With the start of school also brings Hockey for us and yes we are on the ice 4 times next week, so that means the CRAZINESS starts.

My post today was inspired by my friend Mary Beth. We were texting back and forth yesterday afternoon, and she was telling me she was planning her meals for the month of September. We chatted about this for a bit and I was inspired to create this Weekly Menu so that hopefully I can stay on track when it gets crazy around here.

So I spent some time yesterday creating this weekly menu in MDS. I have printed off a few of these and over the next few days will fill in my meals for the month of September. So if you have any fabulous must try recipes, I would love for you to share them with me!!

I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was very busy but a productive one! On Saturday the girls, my mom and I went to Port Huron for the day to do some back to school shopping. It was a great day and we were able to find tons of deals which made us all happy!!

Then we found out Saturday night that our neighbour would be starting to tape, mud and sand the basement this week, which meant yesterday the girls and I (Corrie was working) spent most of day moving my stuff upstairs and putting a lot away in storage. I'm excited as they will be starting the taping and the first coat of mud tomorrow!! I'm excited as my room is now upstairs and I love that I can just walk into my front room and start stampin! I might like it too much that I might want to stay up there!!

Birthday Circle Thinlit Card

Happy Friday!

The other night we had so much fun in our Framelit club learning about the new Card Circle Thinlits. These new thinlits make creating your card that flips in just one step. I wanted to show the ladies different ways to use this new Framelit die and I will be sharing all of them with you soon.

So the first one that I wanted to share was a Birthday card using the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper, the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Remembering your Birthday stamp set!

DSC_0059 copy

I added an embossed piece of card stock to the front of the card for a fun embossed look! I used the new Stripes Impression Folder that is in the Holiday Catalogue.

I stamped the splats from Gorgeous Grunge to make it look like dirt in the middle of the circle.
