Beautiful Ride

Hello,

Sorry for being not posting much this past week. Alison had my laptop most nights as she need it to help her study for exams and I was busy prepping for my bingo night. I will be sharing all the details of the night with you this week, just need to take pictures of the make and takes!

My project today was one that I made a few weeks ago for #tgifc37 sketch challenge. I really like sketch challenges as they make you think outside the box. They are like a puzzle just waiting to be solved but only with stamp, inks and paper!

When I saw this sketch, I thought it would be the perfect match with the Beautiful Ride stamp set. I was having a conversation with one of my downline who was looking for some wedding stamps and I told "her to use the Beautiful Ride set". She said "Really that set for a wedding card" I just had to create a card to show her what it would look like.

Lots of Love when into making this card. I first stamped my Bug car in Black Archival Ink onto Watercolour Paper and colour it with my Aqua-painter and Bermuda Bay, and Smoky Slate Ink. Then I stamp the couple with Black Archival Ink onto Watercolour Paper and colour them with my Aqua-painter and Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate and Watermelon Wonder ink. Once dry, I fussy cut them out.

Then I did some masking with my Star Decorative masks stencil. I used my Crushed Curry Sponge dauber to colour in the stars. Once it was dry, then I did a wash with my soft sky ink and my Aquapainter. The bottom was stamped with the grunge image from Timeless Textures to create a sandy road.

Once my card was dry, I assembled it and stamp my greeting with Memento Ink and attached it with two staples!!

I'm really happy the way this card turned out and can't wait to create some more cards like this!!

Party Wishes

Hello,

It's been a busy few days around here with classes, hockey and trying to get errands done. Sorry for lack of post this week, Alison has been using my laptop for projects as they have a lot to hand in since the semester is coming to an end soon and then they will start exams.

My project today is one that I CASE from my sweet friend Ronda. Ronda shared this card with us during one of her Creative Convention online and I knew it would be the perfect card to share with my customers.

DSC_0085

The pattern paper is from the new It's my Party paper stack, and the best thing about this paper is that it's 12 by 12 and you get 48 sheets of double sided paper ( 4 each of 12 designs). The patterns are a mixed of images like balloons, candles, confetti and a mixtures of solid colours with geometric shapes.

140552S
The neat trick on this card is using the Jute Ribbon as twine. Cut off a piece of ribbon, and cut the top part of the ribbon. Pull on the ribbon to loosen the fibres and then you will be able to pull out pieces of string to create your Jute twine. How cool is that? You can even do this will burlap ribbon.
