Hello,
Wanted to touch base and let you know why I have been absent on my blog for over a month now. On Monday Jan 9th, our morning started off the way that it should be with Corrie at work, the girls and I back to school. I had just arrived at school and was catching up on how everyone's holidays were. My husband was messaging me to tell me he wasn't feeling well and would be would be heading to get checked out after work!! Only little did I know that in a 20 mins my world was going to turned upside down!!
I had received a call on my phone to let me know that Corrie had collapsed at work and that an ambulance was on it's way. I left work immediately and met him at the hospital. In the meantime I had called my sister in law so she could be with me. Little did I know that I would need her support even more. Once at the hospital, I was greeted by a Social Worker and was taken to a waiting room till the doctors could come talk to me. What seem like forever, a nurse and doctor came to see us. They had walked me thru what had happen and then went on to tell me that my husband has passed away. In a matter on minutes, my world had been turned upside down as we tried to understand what had just happened. At first they thought it was a massive heart attack, but after an autopsy we found out that Corrie had passed away from an Aorta Dissection, and it's one of those medical mysteries that just happens and that there is nothing the doctor's and nurses could have done for him. It's still shocking news to handle but I know that it was instant and Corrie wouldn't had suffered and that brings me comfort knowing this!!
The girls and I have been so grateful for all the support from family and friends over the past month. We are slowly trying to adjust to our new "NORM" and this new chapter in our lives. I'm slowly starting to do more each day and trying to get back to my stamping and classes. I know this is what Corrie would want..as he know how much I love my stamping..it's my therapy!!
Last night my BFF Michelle was here and we did a little stamping with the new High Tide stamp set. The sentiments in this stamp set is perfect for us right now!! I saw a cool technique on Patty Bennett's blog and had to give it a try!! Thanks for the inspiration Patty!!
I know that we can feel the love and support from family and friends as we try to navigate through these stormy sea. I know hope will help us heal as we move forward in this new chapter of our lives. We know that we have wonderful memories of Corrie and they will always be in our hearts, plus the girls and I can feel his presence around us each day and that brings us comfort and joy!!
Thanks for listening today. I will be back this week with some projects to share with you that I had made over the holidays!!
Take Care, and have a great day,
Anne reading your post brought tears to my eyes. I love you my friend and I am always thinking of you and your girls. I can't wait until we can share a big hug.

I am so very sorry to hear of your tremendous loss, Anne. We met at SU Convention in Salt Lake City in 2014 (I think!) and I am a SU demonstrator on Allison O's team. I follow your blog regularly, and was shocked to read your upsetting news. Thinking of you and your family with my sincere condolences.
