Dragonfly Dreams

Hello,

Today is a day mixed with different emotions as today is the last day that you can order from the 2016 Annual Catalogue and the Occasions Catalogue. There are so many fabulous products leaving us today that its sad to see these items leave! The last few days, items have been selling out quickly but there is still TONS of great products that is available. You can view all those items here.

IMG_7006

My project today is one that we made last week in our stamp a stack class. I wanted to focus on some of the bundles that were carrying over into the new book. The good news that this bundle is carrying over but the sad news is it won't be available as a bundle anymore!

I would suggest grabbing your catalogues and check through them to make sure you have all the bundles you want as today is the last day you can save 10% for those that are carrying over and sadly there are some that are leaving us as of today!

Want to recreate my card, you will need the following supplies:

  • Thick whisper white card stock, this is my go to white when creating a white base
  • Dragonfly Dreams Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies
  • Big Shot machine
  • Stitched Shape Framelits Dies
  • Black card stock
  • 2016-2018 Incolour Designer Series Paper Pack - Sugarplum
  • Sugarplum ink
  • Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush  - a staple in your desk as it adds the little bit of glitter to your projects

I know it's sad day with retiring product leaving us but the good news is only one more sleep till we can order from the new AMAZING 2017 Annual Catalogue. Just a reminder that we won't be able to place any orders till 12pm MT (which is 2pm our time) as Stampin' Up! need time to change over all the items in the ordering system!! Once we are able to order, I will post a link to the PDF and the Online store for you to view!!

Hello,

I have been creating like CRAZY these days and I'm loving it! They say stamping is good for the soul and great therapy! I have to say the last few weeks have been filled with lots of ups and downs and the one thing that got me though was family, friends and lots of stamping!!

One of the stamp sets that I have had fun creating with is the new Crafting Forever stamp set. This new stamp set will be one that you want to add to your collection. Not only is it filled with great images for crafting but it's also the new Angel Policy stamp set. Which means that you will want to use this stamp set if you are selling your projects to others!!

DSC_0035

Want to know a little secret...the White Note Cards and Envelopes are the perfect way to create little thank you cards for family, friends and customers!! The best part is that you get 20 thick pre-scored cards along with 20 envelopes!!

Want to recreate my card, I used the following products on it:

  • White Card and Envelopes
  • Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper - available June 1st
  • Timeless Texture stamp set
  • One Big Meaning Stamp set
  • Shimmery White card stock
  • Layering Circle Framelits Dies and Big Shot Machine
  • Berry Burst Incolour Ink  - available June 1st

Sneak Peak: Daisy Delight

Hello,

I have been having so much fun in my studio! I have been creating like crazy and it feels so good. The last few weeks have been a little rough and stamping is a HUGE therapy for me!! So I spend a lot of time over the weekend playing with new product. I put on my favourite music playlist and enjoy the relaxing time of stamping and music! It's felt so good!!

My sneak peak today uses the new Daisy Delight bundle. Unfortunately, the Daisy punch will be on backorder when the new catalogue launches on June 1st. Us demonstrators LOVE it so much that we put it into backorder status! Yikes..but not to worry there is another shipment coming!!!

IMG_6947

So I challenged myself to create a card without using the punch. I just focused on the stamp set. I found a sketch on Pinterest that I liked and then I started to figure out the pieces to the puzzle. I love sketches as they are good mystery just waiting to be solved. You just need to figure out the pieces to the design puzzle they gave you!!

Want to recreate my card, here is a few tips for you:

  • My colours are Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. I pulled these colour right from the Designer Series Paper pack
  • Designer Series Paper pack is called Delightful Daisies. This paper is gorgeous with floral patterns on one side and solid patterns on the other side
  • Stitched Shape Framelits are the perfect touch to the card. I love the stitched details around the oval, as it looks like I used a sewing machine on my card!
  • Daisies are created with a two-tone effect meaning, I stamped the solid image in Daffodil Delight. But before I stamped them on my whisper white oval, I stamped off on my grid paper to create a softer tone under neath. Then I stamped the outlined Daisy over top using full strength of the Daffodil Delight ink

I love the clean and simply look to this card and the best part is that you can easily mass produce this card to give to family and friends!!

I can't wait to show you the rest of the projects that I made over the weekend!!

OMG..yes it does and it so much easier then giving your blocks a bath!!

Sheltering Tree

Hello,

My project today is one that we made last month in my Stamp a Stack Class. I was going through my stamp collection and was trying to figure out what stamps have not seen ink in awhile and I have to confess..there was a lot! Yikes..please tell me I'm not the only one!!

I have decided one of my new goals moving forward into the new catalogue is not to forget about those "Oldies" and to show case new product along with product that carryover!!

IMG_6832

Sheltering Tree is one of those stamp sets that you can use for any occasions!!

Tips and Tricks on my card:

  • Add a piece of Washi tape down the side to add a bit of texture to your layer
  • Stamp one tree at full force ( meaning full colour) then stamp again for a lighter colour without reining in between each stamped image
  • Thick White Cardstock is perfect for your base as it's nice and sturdy!
  • Stamp the grass randomly to make it look like it new grass growing in the Spring
  • Perfect stamp set for all the different seasons
  • Pop up layer to add dimension to your card

Good news is that Sheltering Tree is carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue which means you have another full year to create with it for your family and friends!!

Tuesday Tips - Cleaning your Scrub Pad

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Tuesday Tips!! Do you every wonder how to clean your basic tools or supplies? Or wonder how do they do that? Then you are luck!! I'm excited to introduce this new feature to my blog, Facebook group and business page! Not on my Facebook page or group, then I would love to have you join me!! You can find me under Stamp With Anne.

Every month, I like to give my Stampin' Scrub Pads a bath. Yes..a bath as they always need a good clean to get all the ink residue off them! While I was doing this yesterday, I thought I would take pictures and share them with you!!

Step 1:

Run them under HOT water, to remove all the ink from the scrub pads. I do this for a good few minutes!

IMG_6921

Step 2:

I let them sit in my dish rack for about 5 minutes as I find this helps to bring all the ink to the surface of the scrub pad!

IMG_6922

Step 3:

After letting them sit for about 5 minutes, I run it under hot water again. As you can see in my photo, there is still brown/red water coming from the ink pad. Which means that there is still ink residue in the scrub pad. I will run it under the water for a few minutes and then let it sit in the dish rack again. I will repeat this process until the water run clear. Once the water is clear, that means your scrub pads are nice and clean!!

IMG_6924

Step 4:

Once they are nice and clean, I let them air dry over night in my dish rack. I place them this way in my dish rack so the water can drain out of the pad and this helps to dry the scrub pads.

I hope you found my Tuesday Tip on Cleaning your scrub pad helpful. I would love to hear from you...any tips you would like to learn about for upcoming Tuesday Tips, please leave me a comment or send me a message and I will add them to my list!!

Fancy Fold - Marble Technique Birthday Card

Happy Monday!

Hello friends, I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was a busy one with being a taxi driver for my girls and on Sunday I had our monthly meeting with my team!! It was AMAZING and I can't wait to share some picture and details with you this week!!!

My project today is one that we created last month at technique class. Our focus for the night was the utterly cool Marble Technique. Honestly, when I was showing them this technique, I felt like I was 10 again playing a game of marbles with my friends. Do you remember doing that? I remember spending hours looking at all the different style and patterns on each and every marble!!

IMG_6620

My card today is a fun Fancy Fold, not sure what you call this one, but I'm going to call it a Pop up card!! As the magic happens when you open this card!!!

IMG_6636

When you open this card, the hammer magically appears in the bottom right corner! This is one of those card that you just stand there opening and closing the card, just to watch the hammer appear!

IMG_6621

Tips and Tricks for my card:

  • Basic Grey reinker, marbles and a wood clear mount case is all you need to do this technique. Add a few drops of reinker in your wood clear mount case. Add your marbles and shake up to spread the ink around. Add a piece of paper to the wood case and close the lid. Once again, shake the case moving the marbles around to create an unique pattern on your white paper! The trick with this technique is only a few small drops of ink, as you want it to be even spread out.
  • Sadly the Nail It Bundle, and the Urban Underground Designer Specialty Paper is sold out. But not to worry, you can easily switch up the pattern paper for another one along with the images. There are lots of great guys stamp set out there like Guy Greeting, and One Wild Ride!!
  • The Birthday greeting is from the Birthday Bright stamp set

You can check out the Retiring List by heading over to my online store. You can click here to check out the product that will be leaving us on May 31. Remember stamp set are guarantee till May 22 and accessories are while supplies last!!
