Happy Anninversary!!!

Hello,

Well, 14 years ago today, my husband Corrie and I got married. It's amazing to look back over the years and see how much we have accomplished. We have 2 beautiful daughters and a lifetime of memories!! I can't imagine my life any other way!! I'm looking forward to the next 14 years and can't wait to see what life has in store for us but at least I know we will be doing it together!!!

I wanted to share with you the card that I made for him. I thought I would use the Medallion stamp set. The one thing that I love about this stamp set is that you can use it for any occasion!!

 

Recipe: Black, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White card stock, Medallion stamp set, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Pretty Kit, 1 34" circle punch and Bermuda Ink.

Falling Leaves Card

Good Morning,

I hope you are having a great day!! I'm not sure if you know this about me, but my favourite season is FALL. I just love the cooler days, the beautiful fall colours, and all the fun things that Autumn has to offer.

My inspiration for this card comes from my good friend Heather. As soon as I saw this card, I knew that I had to CASE it. Thanks Heather!!!

It used the new Falling Leaves stamp set, along with the Autumn Traditions Designer Series Paper. I love all the extra details that were added to this card...Paper Piercing, Ribbon, and layering of accents.

 

Recipe: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Mellow Moss and Whisper White card stock, Autumn Traditions D.S.P, Falling Leaves stamp set, Large Oval Punch, Modern Label Punch, 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Soft Suede Ribbon, Mellow Moss brads, Scallop Border Punch, Mat Pack and Paper Piercer tool.

Here comes the Brides...

Hello friends,

Today is a special day as I have two different friends getting married today. It's been so much fun watching Danielle and Alicia prepare for their wedding and I can't wait to see the pictures. Both girls had fun making their own wedding invitations, thank you cards and favours for the table. Wishing Danielle/Leo and Alicia/Darrick a lifetime of love, happiness and wonderful memories!!!!!

I wanted to let them know that I was thinking of them on their special day, so I sent them this card in the mail earlier this week.

Everything Nice

Happy Friday,

I'm so glad that it's Friday, as it has been a busy week. I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend!

My neighbour's just have a baby girl and it's their first. We were so excited for them that we want to give them a gift. I made this card to go along with the gift. I went with a butterfly theme as this is what they did the nursery in.

My inspiration for this card came from this weeks sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges and my colour inspiration came from this weeks colour challenge over at OCC.

Upsy Daisy Altered Impression Folder Card

On this card, I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set along with Bermuda Bay. I love this colour!!!

Upsy Daisy -- Crazy 4 Challenges Sketch

Happy Monday,

I hope you had a great weekend!! On the weekend, I had a chance to work in my studio. I have fun creating some cute projects to show you this week.

While blog surfing, I came across this new weekly challenge website. It's called Crazy 4 Challenges. I do believe that they post a new challenge on Saturday. So, I checked out the weekly challenges and decided to make a card using this sketch.

I used the new Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impression Folders along with the Big Shot Machine to emboss the white squares. I love the impression that it leaves on the paper...it's so beautiful!!!!

Shoebox Swap Sample

Good Evening,

I hope you had a great day!! We sure did. I spend the morning shopping with my girls at some of our favourite stores and then later in the afternoon we went to the movies. They really wanted to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It was a funny movie!!!!

Isn't this card gorgeous??? This was one of the cards that we made last month at our shoebox swap. I believe that Barb designed this card for us. I just love all the detail that she added to this card. This is not my usually style, but I have to say that I love the colour combo and the layout of the card. I will be casing this card in the future!!!

Medallion Card

Happy Friday,

I have to say when I first saw this stamp set, I wasn't too fuss about it. I'm not sure what it was....maybe it was because it was a background stamp set and it was big. I always find the background stamp awkward to stamp with.

But after seeing many samples done with it, I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad that I did. It makes beautiful cards. I just love the colour combo of Black and Bermuda Bay!! It's very elegant looking.

Recipe: Black, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White card stock, Medallion stamp set, Short and Sweet stamp set, and Bermuda Ink.

Falling Leaves

Hello,

Well, our first day of school was great!! The girls both love their teachers and were very excited to see all their friends again. They both had huge smiles when they got off the bus!!!

I never would have thought to use Taken with Teal as a Fall colour. This is one of the colour combo's that SU! chose with the new Autumn Meadow's paper. I have to say that I do love it!!!!

I used the new Frosted Shimmery Paint on my leaves. I wish that you could see the shimmery on this card as it's just gorgeous!!!! It makes me think of the leaves shining in the sun on a beautiful fall day!!!

 

Recipe: More Mustard, Very Vanilla and Taken with Teal card stock, Falling Leaves stamp set, Autumn Meadow's, Shimmery Paint, Taken with Teal, Really Rust and More Mustard ink, and More Mustard.

Medallion Stamp

I hope you are having a great day!!

I had a chance this afternoon to play with some new stamp sets. Did you know that this is the number 1 selling stamp set for Stampin' Up! right now.  It's the Medallion stamp set. At first, I wasn't too crazy about it, but after I seen some samples done with it I thought I would give it a try. Am I glad that I did!!

The Medallion stamp set makes quick cards in matter of minutes. This card took me less then 5 minutest to make. I also decided to give the new Grommets a try...why have I been waiting so long to use these...they are so easy. 

To set the grommets, I found it easy to lay my Whisper White piece of card stock on top of the foam piece from the Mat Pack. Then I push the grommet into the card, then flatten the prongs at the back.  I also used a Build a Brad to go inside the centre of my grommet.

 

Recipe: Bermuda Bay, Basis Black, and Whisper White card stock, Medallion stamp set, Bermuda Bay ink, Grommets, Build a Brads, Sweet Words stamp set, and Basis Black ink.
