Convention 2010

Technique Club Watercolour Project

I hope you had a great Sunday!! It's been a busy one today with soccer semi-finals and then a 1st birthday party for my 2nd cousin. Well, the girls played hard today, but we lost in the semi-finals.

Remember yesterday, when I showed you the Watercolour Card that we made at Convention for our make and takes. I love it so much that I had to share it with my club ladies this month. We made this project for our Technique Club. The ladies loved it!!

If you are in the London and surrounding area, and are looking for a fun night of stamping, I would love to have you join one of my classes or clubs. It's a great way to have a night to yourself, meet new friends and most of all get your hands on some wonderful Stampin' Up! Product. If you would like to learn more, I would love to hear from you. You can email be at

So, here is the sample of the Watercolour Project that we made.

Just Believe Make and Take: Convention

Sorry for the late post tonight, we were in a soccer tournament all day. The girls did well, and we are moving onto the Semi-Finals in the morning.

One of the fun things at Convention is that you get to do a set of Make and Takes. This year we used the new stamp set Just Believe. I love this stamp set and was trilled to see some really cool projects done using this set.

I really like this Watercolouring Card that we made. We used markers to colour in the flowers and leaves on the big flower stamp, then we spritz it with water. Then we stamp the image onto watercolour paper. This creates a watercolour look without all the colouring!!!

We added Not Quite Navy flecks by using the fun Colour Spritzer Tool. It just finished off the card! How fun is that!!

Recipe: Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery card stock, Watercolour Paper, Brights Button Collection, Just Believe, Markers, Colour Spritzer Tool, Certainly Celery Ribbon and a water bottle for spritzing!.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Awards Night: Convention Highlights

I thought I would share some highlights from Awards Night with you. One of the highlights for me was walking across stage. I was nervous but I'm glad that I got to walk across stage with my good friend Heather Summers. We both walked across stage for earning the incentive trip to Alaska!! I'm so looking forward to cruising to Alaska with Heather and her family!

I also got to walk across stage for my Personal Sales. I have each and every one of you to thank for helping me achieve these amazing goals! The one thing I love about being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator is all the wonderful people that I have met, and I'm so happy that you are all part of my life!!!

Heather and I walking across stage for the Incentive Trip!

My walk across stage for my sales.

It was also very exciting to watch Renee and Jodie walk across stage as they were this year Artisan Award Winners. You should see their projects they were over the top!!

Another highlight of the evening was watching Heather be awarded. She was #2  Demonstrator in Canada along with being #1 in Sales.

Stampin' Up! always finished the Awards Night with entertainment. This year's presenter was Charlie Jenkins. His band performed some amazing country songs along with Hip Hop!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Season of Friendship

I hope you are having a great day. I love this stamp set Season of Friendship. You can do so much with it. This was one of the swaps that I made for Convention. For my swaps for convention, I changed up the colours to Blushing Bride, Early Espresso and Whisper White.

I used the bush stamp from Trendy Trees to make my leaves on the card. I love that our stamps coordinate with each other. One of the many reasons why I love being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!!!

So my colour combo today was inspired by the new Colour Coach. This is a must have tool!!I have to say that this is my favourite colour combo: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso and Whisper White. I used the new stamp set Itty Bitty Bits along with the new Itty Bitty Buttons.

Recipe: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, and Whisper White card stock, Season of Friendship stamp set, Trendy Trees stamp set, Itty Bitty Bits stamp set, Itty Bitty Punches, Itty Bitty Buttons, Neutral Buttons, Early Espresso, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz ink.

Convention Highlights--Flower Power Party

While, I think I'm getting caught up on my sleep these days. I can't believe how tired I was!!!

I thought I would highlight today the Flower Power Party. This as an extra event that Stampin' Up! put on for us on Wednesday night. The theme was Flower Party and we had a blast. We had fun playing games like Twister, stack the cups, there was a hoopla hula contest and the best part was having our picture taken with Shelli and her husband Sterling.

DSC_0173 This is a picture of Dale. Dale is the main guy here at the Canadian Office. He is showing us how to play the stack the cup game. He was hilarious!!

Here is a picture of the girls playing Twister!! Oh man, we had a blast! We were crying from laughing so hard!! This is a picture of Heather challenging Mark to a game.

Here is a picture of Jodie, Anne P and me hanging out.

Finally the group picture with Shelli and Sterling.

I will be sharing more with you over the next few days!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Convention Highlights:Check In Day

What an AMAZING TIME I had at the Stampin' Up! Convention. The week just flew by and I would like to say that I had a blast with my friends: Leela, Anne, Heather, Jodie, Renee, Melanie, Leah, Shilo, Tina and Monica. I'm so glad that I met these amazing ladies, because I can't imagine life without them now!!!!

DSC_0034 I thought I would share some pictures with you today of the Check In Day. So on Wednesday, we headed over to the convention centre about 7:30 to stand in line. It was fun seeing all the ladies hand out swaps and meeting new friends. Here is a picture of Tina and I waiting in line.

Once we got into the convention centre, we check in so that we could receive our bags. Oh my gosh, you should see these fun bags that we got. They were filled with the new stamp set Just Believe, Paisley Prints, Print Wheel and So many thanks. Plus all the information for convention was in there!

After checking in, we headed to the gathering place to see all the display boards, the Incentive Trip Booth, the Recruiting Booth, and the Sweet Shoppe. Oh my gosh, this shop was so yummy that you just want to eat all the displays. This booth showcase samples from the new Holiday Mini and the catalogue. These displays are beautiful!!

After checking out the displays and booths, we headed over to the Awards Booth. I had received noticed that I won an award. So this is me checking in at the awards booth. I earned two FREE stamp sets for my sales plus got my pin/ribbon for earning the Incentive trip to Alaska!!

My good friend Heather earned Founder's Circle. This is a special trip that only the top demonstrator's earned. She will spend 4 days in St. George Utah with Shelli the Cofounder of Stampin' Up! She was so excited!!

Well, I must run to make supper, but I will share more stories with you this week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Have a great day,

Scallop Die Name Tag

Well, today is the last day here at convention. It's been an amazing experiences!! I have met some great new friends, saw tons of amazing projects (my head is spinning with creative idea's), learned wonderful idea's to incorporate into my business and most of all just had a blast with my friends!!! I can't wait to share this with you when I'm back in the studio!!

The other day, I showed you the Convention Gift I made for my room mates. I wanted to share with you today how I made the Personalized Name Tag.

First, I ran the scallop die through the Big Shot machine with a chipboard coaster. Then I ran the scallop die through the Big Shot machine again with Designer Series Paper. I used the new Greenhouse Gala collection. (By the way, this paper was popular with the gifts in Memento Mall this year.) You are going to glue your scallop designer paper to your coaster.

Using our Serif Alphabet dies and our Sticky Sheet, I ran it through the Big Shot machine. This creates a letter in two way tape. The sticky sheets is like our Sticky stripe, just in sheets. You can do so much with this product!

I peeled off one side of the tape, and stuck into the scallop coaster. Next, I pulled off the other side and it was ready for the glitter. I used our Fine glitter in Chocolate Chip and sprinkled it on. You might have to do this twice to make sure it covers all of your letter.

Using the Crop-o-Dile, punch a hole in the top, add a ring binder and then some ribbon.

This was a big hit and a great way to identify your bag at convention.

Recipe: Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, Scallop Die, Chipboard Coasters, Big Shot machine, 1/8" Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso Ribbon, and a Ring Binder.

One more day till I see my babies and my wonderful husband!! I can't wait to give them a big hug!!!!

Have a great day,

Convention Swap #2

Happy Friday,

We are having a blast in Salt Lake City. Today, we will be attending General Session and our classes that we picked. We will also be doing some Make and Takes using the cool new stamp sets that we received in our Convention Bag. Stampin' Up! sure knows how to spoil their demonstrator's!! Thank you Stampin' Up!

Tonight, my good friend Heather is hosting a Pajamas stamping party! I think she has some crazy things planned for us. I will share more with you when I'm home.

So here is Convention Swap #2. I have to say that this is my favourite one!! I love how elegant this card looks but so simple. My inspiration for this sketch came from the Clean and Simple Blog.

I used the new stamp set Awash with Flowers on it. My yummy colour combo is Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso and Blushing Bride. LOVE IT!!!!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but I used the new Wallpaper Impression Folder on the Early Espresso card stock. It gives the card that extra added detail. The greeting is from the new Level 3 hostess stamp set called Occasional Quotes.

Recipe: Early Espresso, Blushing Bride, Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz card stock, Wallpaper Impression Folder, White Satin Ribbon, Awash with Flowers stamp set, Blushing Bride, Rose Red, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz markers and ink, Occasional Quotes and Big Shot Machine.

Have a great day!!!
