Convention 2014

Kinda Eclectic Make and Take

During the Inspire,Create,Share 2014 Convention, we have the chance to participate in make and takes session. Each session focuses on a different stamp set that was included in our Convention Bag. I usually don't do make and takes at the convention as I would rather do them at home and not have to worry about them getting squished on the way home in the suitcase.

I finally had some time the other day to work on the Make and Takes packs using the new Kinda Eclectic. I have to tell you that it's one of my TOP 10 stamp set in the Annual Catalogue. This is a must in your collection as you can use it for some many different occasions!!

I think the reason I love this set so much is for the sunburst and that you can use if for random stamping!! I can't wait to share with you how I use this stamp for a Christmas card. So excited tonight is our first night of our Christmas club...I know Christmas in July...but it's a great way to get a jump start on your cards!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Kinda Eclectic

It's been a fun morning of stamping with my friends at our first Tuesday Coffee and Cards class. The ladies had a blast stamping with friends, sipping on some coffee and enjoyed some yummy homemade banana bread!! The excited part, most of them signed up for next week's class. Yahooo..can't wait to stamp with them again!!

One of my favourite things about Convention is seeing all the creative projects on the displays boards. This year Display board stampers were asked to make 24 projects using the Make and Take stamp sets that we received in our kits.

I spent a few hours taking photo's of projects and I can't wait to use them for inspiration for upcoming classes and clubs!! I thought that you might want to see some of those display boards also.

These 3 display boards feature the beautiful stamp set called Kinda Eclectic.

Convention Swap #1

Today is an exciting day as Convention 2014 starts today! It's a full day of opening session, classes, make and takes and swapping with friends. Tonight I will be heading to an optional class with Shannon West. She will be showing the fabulous new Simply Create Kits from the Holiday Mini and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us!!

I decided to create 60 cards for general swapping. I'm not one to mass produce the same card, so I thought it would be fun to create 20 cards each of  3 different styles.

One night I sat down and watched some blendabilities video's so I could learn more about these fabulous markers. I decided that the only way to practice was to colour some flowers. I have to say that I love these new markers and can't wait to show you them in a class!!

Hello1 copy

I used the Hostess set called Bloom of Hope. I stamped the flowers in my Memento Ink ( which by the way is my new favourite black colour, I used it for everything!) Then I used the Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry markers to colour my flowers. I found that I was colouring from Dark to light and I had the best control if I used the small round tip end then the brush tip.

One of my favourite ways to use the blendabilities is to colour with my markers on my pearls, rhinestones, buttons and ribbon. I used my markers to colour my pearls to match my flowers!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Swap Prep - #InspireCreateShare2014

It's been a busy day of prepping for Convention. Yes, only a few more sleeps and I will be on my way to Salt Lake City to party with all my demonstrator's friends as we celebrate #InspireCreateShare 2014. I can't wait to see what Stampin' Up! has planned for us this year!!

One of my favourite things to do is swap with friends! I decide to create set of 20 this year, so far I have 2 sets done and I think I might just create another set of 20 tomorrow as it looks like it might be a rainy day here!!

This is what my table has looked like the last few days...
