Hello my friends,

Last night, I had a chance to play along with Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #69. This was a fun sketch to work on.

I decided to look through my stamp sets and find a stamp set that I have not used in awhile.  I decided to use Upsy Daisy as this is a great set for any occasion. I just love the silhouette of flowers.

Recipe: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, and Tangerine Tango, Upsy Daisy, Scallop Border Punch, and Tangerine Tango ink.

I will be sad to see this year's In-colours retire at the end of June, but I have to say that I have not really used Tangerine Tango alot. It's one of those colours that you either like or don't!!!

A Twist to Taylored Expression Sketch #68

Good Day my friends,

Yesterday, I had a chance to work on some projects for the week. I'm very excited to show you this project. I decided that I would use Taylored Expression sketch #68 and turn it into a layout instead of a card. I recently purchases frames from Ikea and my plan is to display them in my office with some ofour Decor Elements around them. I plan on changing the layouts and the vinyl rub-ons to match the seasons.

I also wanted to show my club girls, that you can easily take a sketch and create a card or a layout with it.  I just love these pictures!! Both of my girls, took turns taking pictures of each other, and I have to say that the shots are amazing!! I will show you the another layouts later this week.

Here is the sketch for this week's Cupcake Challenge.

Here is my layout using this sketch.

Recipe: Kraft, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss and Basic Black, Daisies Die cut, Big Shot Machine, Fifth Avenue stamp set, Kiwi Kiss, Sahara Sand and Black ink, and Scallop Edge punch.

Don't forget to check out the Blog Candy that you can win. You can read all about it here. Tomorrow I will show you the card that I made using this sketch!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Taylored Expression # 67

Good Day!!

I hope you are having a great week so far. I'm so looking forward to seeing my Stamper's 6 group tonight. I can't wait for them to see the fun cards that we are making!!

When I start to design my cards for club nights, I always turn to sketch challenges. I always find that by starting with a template or a sketch, you can easily build your card from there. The one great thing about challenges are they make you think outside your creative zone and they encourage you to try new techniques.

One of my favourite sketch challenge host is Taylor VanBruggen from Taylored Expressions. Each Friday, she provides us with a Cupcake Challenge.

I have to say that I love these colours together....Kiwi Kiss, Kraft and Basic Black. They look so elegant together. I first stampFlowers in Silhouette in Kiwi Kiss on to Very Vanilla card stock. Then I stamp the greeting over top of the flower image. I love the look that it creates.

Recipe: Kraft, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Kiwi Kiss card stock, Eyelet Border Punch, Kiwi Kiss ribbon, On your Birthday stamp set, Flowers in Silhouette stamp set, and Kiwi Kiss ink.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Taylored Expression Sketch #62

Well, the last few days have been busy around here with hockey. My youngest daughter is heading to Provincials in a week and her coach has been throwing in some extra practices and games. So for the next few days, my post might be later in the day.

I had a chance yesterday to play along with Taylored Expressions sketch challenge #62 from last week. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted to use the new stamp set called And Many Mower from the Occasion Mini catalogue. This stamp set is great for male birthday cards, and for Father's Day.

Recipe: Kraft, Always Artichoke. Bashful Blue and Very Vanilla card stock, Manchester Designer Series Paper, 5/16 Neutral brads, Circle Scissor Plus cutter, And Many Mowers stamp set, blender pen and a variety of markers.

Check out the golf ball?? I used the new 5/16 white brad for the golf ball. Also the circles were cut using the new Circle Scissor Plus cutter. OH MY GOSH....Love it!! You need to give this new cutter a try as it cuts circles like butter.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening,
