Mojo Monday's Sketches

Mojo Monday 412 - Sneak Peak Snow Place

Hello,

As you know I love sketches and love participating in a variety of sketch challenges online! I finally had a chance to play with this week's sketch over at Mojo Monday. This week's fun sketch was created by Julee. Sometimes, when I look at sketch, I can see a certain stamp set, colour combination and the greeting that I want to use.

When I first saw this sketch, I knew that I had to play with the new Snow Place bundle. This new bundle will be available starting on Sept 1. Think cold...snowman and penguins playing in the snow and the best part is there is matching framelits. So all you had to do is stamp your images and cut them out using the big shot and matching framelits..Volia...easy cutting!!

Here is Julee's sketch for the week.

And here is my take on this week's sketch....

Cc28

Is this snowman not the cutest thing ever!! I'm sure you remember me telling you this...but I love anything that has to do with a snowman, or snowflakes.

Well, now it's your turn to try this sketch, I can't wait to see what you create. Do you need some inspiration? Head over to the Mojo Monday blog and see what others did with fabulous sketch!!

Only three more days till the launch of the new Holiday Catalogue..it truly is the Most Wonderful Time of Year!!!

Mojo Monday 410

Hello,

I love a great challenge and this sketch provided that!! I was in the process of creating my samples for this week's Coffee and Cards and need one more card. I wanted to use the Anchor image for my last card and started to search for sketches online. I came across this sketch that Julee created over at Mojo Monday and knew it was the perfect fit!! Remember, I always say " Sketches are like puzzles, you just need to figure out the missing pieces!"

As I was designing this card, I wanted to focus on the Anchor and thought it would be fun to create a Nautical card. I used Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White for my colour combo!

August Blog Photo's-012

My background was stamped with the Watercolor Wash stamp set. I stamped the image in Night of Navy onto my Whisper White card stock as I wanted it to look like water. Using my favourite tool my Big Shot and Circle Framelits, I created by thin circle. I just layer two circle framelits together and ran it thru the big shot! Volia..a skinny circle!!

I hope that you can play along with some of past sketches on Mojo Monday or try out the new one that they just posted yesterday! I can't wait to give this week's sketch a try!!

New Weekly Deals are out and don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack as new product as been added! You can view them here, and remember if you shop my ONLINE store, the order will ship right to you!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Mojo Monday 408 - Sneak Peak Wonderland

Happy Friday!!

I have to admit, I have been in a little bit of a funk this week! No energy or desire to create. I would walk into my room and just sit there. I have so many creative idea's floating around from convention, that I just didn't know where to begin!! I would start a project and stop mid way thru and move to something else. The problem was I wasn't getting anything accomplished!! So I decided this morning that I just need to play with my ink, stamps and paper for fun!! No creating for classes just creating for fun!!

Plus what is a better way to get the creative juices flowing is with a sketch online and new product! Yes, I was able to order a selection of new product while at Convention and this yummy box of goodies arrived last night. So I picked out a stamp set and found a sketch over at Mojo Monday and went to town create this gorgeous card!!

This week's sketch was created by Julee and she created a tall and skinny card. I decided to go with the 5.5 x 7" cut of cardstock, score long side at 3.5" for my base.

July Blog Photo's-027

I used the new gorgeous stamp set called "Wonderland" and the stunning new Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper. This new paper is double-sided designs printed with metallic ink on one side! The coordinating colours are Basic Black, Gold and Whisper White.

I decided to stay with these colours for my card. I love being introduced to old techniques that you forget about so I thought it would be fun to emboss my tree's in gold embossing powder. Did you know that embossing and watercolouring are very trendy right now!! I know that I don't use my embossing powders or heat gun enough, but I love the effect that it gives...so watch for my fun embossing projects in the future!!

Did you notice the snowing falling in the background behind the tree's? That is a new impression folder called Softly Falling!! It's a must in your collection!!

Lots of Joy Swap Card

Hello,

Wowzers, I have been dragging my butt since I got home on Sunday evening. Not sure if it's jet lag, lack of sleep or just my body saying " You need to rest after that crazy week!" So I spend most of the days on the couch, trying to catch up and relax. Plus I have been getting back into my normal eating schedule and I feel so much better today!! It's amazing how much your body misses that!

While I was at Convention, I joined Ronda Wade's Creating Success swap group. We met on Friday after lunch and I swapped with 45 talented demonstrator's. This was the first time that I did something like this and it was so much fun that I can't wait to do it again!!

The requirements were to create a card with 3 layers and an embellishment and we could use any stamp set of our choice. While I was searching for a sketch online, I came across this one on Mojo Monday. As soon as I saw the sketch I thought it would be perfect for a Christmas card!

http://mojomonday.com/Sketches/Mojo403Sketch.gif

I had the new Lot's of Joy stamp set sitting on my desk and I thought this set would be perfect for this sketch!!

July Blog Photo's-025I used the new Merry Moments Designer Series Paper as an accent piece for one of my layers! I love the colours in this paper pack as they just scream Christmas fun!!

Very careful, I inked up the bottom part of the ornament with Cherry Cobbler ink and then used a Smoky Slate marker, I coloured the hook part of the ornament. Gave a quick huff on my stamp (to re moisten the ink) and then stamp it onto my Whisper White circle! Of course, I had to finish it off with some bling and a Cherry Cobbler Twine bow!!

I will be sharing more highlights from Convention with you over the next few days!!

Mojo Monday 403

Hello,

On the weekend, I had a chance to play along with last week's Mojo Monday 403 sketch. This sketch was created by Julee and I have to say that I Iove all the layers!! This is one sketch that I will file away for future projects!

Sometimes when I look at a sketch, a certain stamp set will pop into my mind. As I was looking at this sketch, I thought the Sprinkle of Life stamp set would be perfect. As I was designing my card, I first thought I was going to use a cupcake but in the process of creating the card, I switched it to the tree!

Blog - June 2015-025
Isn't that tree so cute? I love that you can stamp the images and punch them out with the coordinating punch!  Plus did you know that the Sprinkles of Life stamp set is this year's Ronald McDonald stamp set, which means that with every stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! will donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald's houses across North American!

Now it's your turn to try this sketch challenge. Head over to Mojo Monday to see all the details, I can't wait to see what you create!!!

Happy Friday!!

This week's Mojo Monday was a Tall and Skinny card! I never really had made a card like this and thought it might be fun to try!!

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-04XKCd3Jq0g/VWI_ZpELSWI/AAAAAAAAWOw/mCKAQrhtSJw/s1600/zzMojo399.gif

When I saw the sketch, I thought it would be fun to make a masculine card and use the Guy Greeting stamp set! Plus it was a great chance for me to use the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper.

BlogPhotos3-063

This new paper is very bold with rich colours in it. The colours are Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Island Indigio, Delightful Dijon, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.

BlogPhotos3-064When I saw the sketch for the first time, I thought the Classic Car image from Guy Greeting would work perfectly in the circle.

Happy Friday!!

It's a long weekend here for us and I'm hoping the weather will be nice so we can enjoy the sunshine outside on the deck!

Last week, when I was designing my projects for Coffee and Cards, I turned to a few sketches online to help inspire some of my cards. I headed over to Mojo Monday and came across this design. I really like all the layers and knew it would work with the stamp set that I was using.

http://mojomonday.com/Sketches/Mojo383Sketch.gif

I decided to go with my favourite colour combo of Crisp Canteloupe and Basic Grey. I'm really going to miss Crisp Cantaloupe when it retires on June 2.

I pulled out one of my favourite stamp set...Sheltering Tree to create my card with.

Mojo Monday #358

Hello,

While I was creating my cards for this week's Coffee and Cards class, I turned to the latest Mojo Monday sketch. I really like this simple and clean design and knew it would fit perfect for the idea that I had. I knew that I wanted to use the Sea Street stamp set and Maritime Designer Series Paper.

 My card using this sketch....

Sea Street copy

I stamped the fishes in the background to look like the Octopus was swimming in a school of fishes. I think my favourite image is the crab!!

I hope you time this week to give this fun sketch a try!!

Mojo Monday #337

Hello,

At our down line meeting in Feb, I had challenged all the ladies with a Card Challenge. I had created packages with a piece of Retro Fresh Designer Series paper and told them they had to create a card with it and they could add anything else to the paper like card stock, ribbon, buttons, twine etc.

At our meeting last week, the ladies brought all their cards back and all I could say was "WOW!" We had 7 very unique cards that was beautiful!!

When I was creating my card, I turned to Mojo Monday looking for a sketch. This week's sketch was created by Theresa and it was perfect sketch for my card!!
