Gold Celebration!!!

During the last week of Sale a Bration, lots of fun things were happening in my business. My team was recruiting like crazy and growing!! My Downline Rebecca was one recruit away from advancing to Silver Elite and just like that the magic happened! Rebecca recruited her fifth recruit, she advance to Silver Elite and I advance to Gold!! I was over the moon excited as this is a huge accomplished and I'm so grateful for my team, customers and family that made this happen. I was sad that I couldn't share my news with Corrie in person, but I know my angel had something to do with this and he was smiling up there as proud as can be!!!

The exciting news is that I found out that I'm one of 22 other demonstrators in Canada that holds this title of out 4500 demonstrator's in Canada! So from the bottom of my heart...thank you!!

I'm very grateful for everything these days especially my family, friends, customers and team. The last few months have been very difficult as we adjust to this new chapter in our lives, and we couldn't have done it without you! So from the bottom of my heart...thank you!!!

My card today was made by my good friend Marcy, she gave me this at Onstage to say "Congrats" on my advancing to Gold!! Thank you Marcy..I love it and it totally made my day!!!

I have listed the supplies that Marcy used on her card and sadly most of them are on the retiring list!! If you want to recreate this card you can order directly from my ONLINE store or email me your order as I have an order going in Thursday night!

Beautiful You Card!!

Hope you are having a great weekend. It looks like it going to be a sunny one around here and it's a great time to get some outside items checked off my to do list! Wish me luck!!

My project today is one that I made with my good friend Rebecca. Rebecca invited me over for an afternoon of stamping and she had this card ready for me to create, all I had to do was stamp, colour and put together. Now that is my kind of card!! Actually it was nice to be on the other side of creating for a change!

Exciting news...the Beautiful You stamp set will be carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue. So you have lots of time to create beautiful projects with this gorgeous stamp set. This set is perfect for so many occasions!

Want to recreate my project, I have some tips and tricks for you:

  • Colour Combination is Pool Party, and Very Vanilla
  • Pattern Paper is from the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper Pack, and unfortunately the Falling in Love Designer Series Paper is already sold out.
  • Make a beautiful layer using the Big Shot machine, the Layering Ovals Collection Framelits and the Stitched Shape Framelits
  • Ribbon is the 3/8 Stitched Pool Party Ribbon and unfortunately it's sold out too. But you could easily switch it out for Very Vanilla ribbon
  • Stamp the lady image onto Shimmery White card stock with Black Archival Ink
  • Colour the lady using the Watercolour Pencils and Blender Pen. I love using my blender pen as I feel I have more control over shading and colouring!
  • Stamp greeting with Black Memento ink

So are you ready to recreate this project? Did you know that you can use the layout to recreate another card for a different occasion. That is one of my favourite things to do is to look for card sketches on line and then use that layout to create my own card! I'm in the process of creating a sketch book and I will share with you when I have a few pages done!

I have listed the supplies for you below and you can order directly from my ONLINE store

Marble Technique - Nail it Bundle

My project today is a oldie but fun technique. My friend Angie McKay from North Shore Stamper reminder me of this fun technique and I couldn't wait to give it a try!! I knew it would be the perfect technique for this month's technique class!!

I had the Nail It Bundle sitting on my desk and wanted to use it for my project!! I bought this set as it reminds me so much of Corrie...he sure did love his tools and often told me that you need a variety of tools to complete the job!!! This card is for my lovely husband and I'm sure he is up there in heaven fixing things for others!

Tips and Tricks on my project:

  • The Nail It Bundle is perfect stamp set and matching framelits for the men in your lives!
  • The Hexagon Dymanic Impression Folder adds the perfect touch and dimension to your project
  • Basic Grey reinker, marbles and a wood clear mount case is all you need to do this technique. Add a few drops of reinker in your wood clear mount case. Add your marbles and shake up to spread the ink around. Add a piece of paper to the wood case and close the lid. Once again, shake the case moving the marbles around to create an unique pattern on your white paper! The trick with this technique is only a few small drops of ink, as you want it to be even spread out.
  • Stamp the screw driver and cut out with matching framelit, and then colour with Delightful Dijon and Smoky Slate marker
  • My pattern paper is the Urban Underground Specialty Paper - sad news, it's already sold out

The sad news is the Nail It Bundle is on the retiring list and will be leaving us at the end of May. And the sad part is that its already SOLD out which doesn't surprise me as it was a great bundle!!! I have to tell you that this is one bundle that I will be keeping as it reminds me too much of Corrie!!

You can check out the Retiring List by heading over to my online store. You can click here to check out the product that will be leaving us on May 31. Remember stamp set are guarantee till May 22 and accessories are while supplies last!!

Dragonfly Dreams Card

I hope you are having a great day! Our last week has been a little better as we adjust to this new "Norm." I have been back in my studio stamping and that has felt good. I always said "Stamping was my therapy and I think it will help us through this stormy sea!"

My project today is one that I created over the holidays using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and matching Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit Dies! I discover the yummy colour combination of Sweet Sugarplum, Black and White..oh my is this combination gorgeous together!!

I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies and the Big Shot machine to cut out two Dragonflys from Shimmery White paper and then using my sponge dauber, I sponged lightly over the dragofliess in Sweet Sugarplum ink. I added some dragonflies in the background along with speckles of black ink. This is one card that you can use for any occasions!!

If you need an catalogue, I would love to send you one or you can head over to my Online Store and browse all the wonderful products to choose from!!

High Tide Card and Update from my family!!!

Wanted to touch base and let you know why I have been absent on my blog for over a month now. On Monday Jan 9th, our morning started off the way that it should be with Corrie at work, the girls and I back to school. I had just arrived at school and was catching up on how everyone's holidays were. My husband was messaging me to tell me he wasn't feeling well and would be would be heading to get checked out after work!! Only little did I know that in a 20 mins my world was going to turned upside down!!

I had received a call on my phone to let me know that Corrie had collapsed at work and that an ambulance was on it's way. I left work immediately and met him at the hospital. In the meantime I had called my sister in law so she could be with me. Little did I know that I would need her support even more. Once at the hospital, I was greeted by a Social Worker and was taken to a waiting room till the doctors could come talk to me. What seem like forever, a nurse and doctor came to see us. They had walked me thru what had happen and then went on to tell me that my husband has passed away. In a matter on minutes, my world had been turned upside down as we tried to understand what had just happened. At first they thought it was a massive heart attack, but after an autopsy we found out that Corrie had passed away from an Aorta Dissection, and it's one of those medical mysteries that just happens and that there is nothing the doctor's and nurses could have done for him. It's still shocking news to handle but I know that it was instant and Corrie wouldn't had suffered and that brings me comfort knowing this!!

The girls and I have been so grateful for all the support from family and friends over the past month. We are slowly trying to adjust to our new "NORM" and this new chapter in our lives. I'm slowly starting to do more each day and trying to get back to my stamping and classes. I know this is what Corrie would want..as he know how much I love my stamping..it's my therapy!!

Last night my BFF Michelle was here and we did a little stamping with the new High Tide stamp set. The sentiments in this stamp set is perfect for us right now!! I saw a cool technique on Patty Bennett's blog and had to give it a try!! Thanks for the inspiration Patty!!

I know that we can feel the love and support from family and friends as we try to navigate through these stormy sea. I know hope will help us heal as we move forward in this new chapter of our lives. We know that we have wonderful memories of Corrie and they will always be in our hearts, plus the girls and I can feel his presence around us each day and that brings us comfort and joy!!

Thanks for listening today. I will be back this week with some projects to share with you that I had made over the holidays!!

Take Care, and have a great day,

Dragonfly Dreams!!

Happy Monday!!

I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was super fun with a visit down to see Emily on Saturday, hockey with Alison and then a Downline meeting on Sunday afternoon that was super fun!! We missed the ones that were not able to attend due to weather and hope the weather is good for our next one February!

My project today is a card that I made using the new Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies.

I created a background wash by using my sponge daubers and Sugarplum ink! I learned this cool technique back in the fall from my friend Kimberly and had to give it a try!! I love that its quick and simply but it has a wonderful effect on the card!

This is one colour combination that I just discover and oh my...I love it! I love how simple and elegant it makes the card look!!

Curious to see what is in the Dragonfly Dreams bundle? Did you know when you purchase a bundle you save 10% off instead of purchasing the stamp set and thinlits separate?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
