Pals Paper Arts Challenges

Sea Street - Pals Paper Art Challenge

Happy Monday!

My good friend Martha came over on Saturday for a night of stamping. We had so much fun creating a bunch of samples using some of the new product that I have from the new Catalogue. I was looking for inspiration and thought it would be fun to use a sketch. We headed over to the Pals Paper Art for this week's sketch that was created by the Design Team 2.

Pals sketch 205I had the new Maritime designer series paper sitting on my desk and really wanted to use it. But I didn't have the coordinating Sea Street stamp set. Martha was like "No Problem" lets cut out the Octopus from the Designer Series Paper using a Circle Framelit. OMG...LOVE IT!!

When we finished the card, I said to Martha " I can't believe we didn't do any stamping on this card!" We both loved how this card turned out!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Stampin'Up! Supplies: Some of these products will be available on June 2, 2014 when the new 2014 Annual Catalogue starts.

Happy Congratulations!!

Happy Tuesday!!

I had this stamp set sitting on my desk waiting to be inked up but when I went to get started on a project, I was drawing a blank! So I knew that I had pinned some projects made using this stamp set on Pinterest, I decided to CASE one. I had pinned one that was created by Natalie Travis and fell in love with the layout. Thanks Natalie for the inspiration!!

I decided to CASE it but switched out the colours to go with this week's Pals Paper Art Colour Challenge. I have to admit these are colours that I don't use very often but it felt good to be stretch beyond my comfort zone!!

Hello,

I had a chance to play along with this week's colour challenge over at Pals Paper Art blog but missed the chance to add my card to the linky link.  This week was another colour challenge that was inspired with these colours: Real Red, Soft Sky and Whisper White.

A little note from the Pals Paper Art Artists....

There's nothing quite like the perfect pairing of contrasting colors.  This week's Pals Paper Arts Challenge proves that.  As we gear up for Valentine's Day, this combination of Real Red, Soft Sky and Whisper White yields endless possibilities - vibrant and soft at the same time.  The Resident Artists have created some gorgeous projects to inspire you, and we can't wait to see what you create!

Pals Paper Art-- In the Pink Challenge

Good Morning,

I hope you had a great weekend!! I had a chance to play along with this week's challenge over at Pals Paper Art.

Pals Paper Art wrote this....This week we are "In the Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness... celebrating cancer survivors, and remembering those that continue to battle, as well as the countless number of family and friends that have been touched by this disease.

So the only requirement was to use pink!!

I decide to do Versamark Resist on mine using the Breast Cancer Ribbon of Hope. First I stamped my Ribbon of Hope in Versamark then onto glossy white paper. I did this 3 times. Then using a brayer and Pixie Pink ink, I brayed over the glossy white paper. Keeping brayer with ink till you have the desired colour. Then using tissue wiped off the excess ink. The ink resists the versamark!! Way to cool!! I then stamped my greeting using Staz-On Ink over top.

Recipe:Versamark Ink Pad, Glossy White Paper, Black Ribbon, Pixie Pink and Black card stock, Brayer, Pixie Pink ink, Ribbon of Hope stamp and Hope Happens stamp set.

Why don't you take the challenge and head on over to Pals Paper Art blog!!

Pumpkin Patch -- Pals Paper Arts Challenge

Hello,

I hope you had a great weekend!! It sure was beautiful here with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures!!

I had a chance yesterday to work in my studio. I thought I would use some of my new stamp sets that arrived last week for some fun blog challenges.

As soon as I saw this stamp set in the Holiday Mini, I knew that I had to have it. Oh my gosh..the pumpkins are so cute!!! First you stamp the bodies then you add the faces! How fun is that!!!!!

I decided to use this weeks sketch from Pals Paper Art. I always love card sketches as they make you think outside your creativity zone and encourages you to try new things!!!

Have a wonderful day,

Anne

Paper Tole

Good Morning,

Well, it's the first day of school here for us. My girls are very excited to see all their friends again and meet their new teachers. I hope everyone has a great first day back!!!

On the weekend, I thought I would give Paper Tole a try. What is Paper Tole you might ask?? It's where you stamp you image at least 3 times, cut them out and pop them up with dimensionals.

I thought I would try this week's challenge at Pals Paper Arts. This week's challenge is to use the Stampin' Up! colours Ruby Red, Brocade Blue and Crushed Curry. As soon as I read these colours, I knew it was screaming Build a Bears to me!!!

So, I stamped my BABW boy three times, cut him out and popped him up with dimensionals. I have to say I love this card!!!

This is what it looks like on the side of the card. Way to cool!!!

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge

Hello my friends,

It sure was a hot and humid day here yesterday. It was a great day to stay inside and prep for some upcoming classes. In between prepping for classes, I had a chance to work on this week's challenge over at Pals Paper Arts. This week was a sketch challenge. I always love sketch challenges as they make you think outside the box.

It's always so funny when a new catalogue comes out we tend to use thosestamps more, but we forget about the old time favourites. One of my old time favourites is Upsy Daisy....just love the flower image in this set.

To create the mirror image, I first stamped my image in Bermuda Bay than I just stamp it again off to the side. It that not cool???

DSCN2212

Recipe:Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock, Eyelet Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Black Brads, Upsy Daisy Stamp set, and Bermuda Bay ink.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!
