Waterfight Layout

Hello my friends,

I hope you are having a great day. It's been a busy one so far with swimming lesson's and doing some errands.

I had so much fun creating this layout last week. My inspiration for this layout came from a layout that I saw in the Canadian Scrapbooker magazine the Summer Issue. I used the basic sketch and created my layout from there.

Emily was in our neighbour's pool and they decided to have a water fight. Kate had these really cool water gun noodles, so I just have to capture this fun moment. I'm so glad that I did!!

Circle are done using the new Circle Circus stamp set and then punched out with the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8" circle punches. The journalling circles are done using the new stamp set Favourite Things and then punched out with the 1 3/4" punch!!

 

Recipe: Real Red, Whisper White and Tempting Turquoise card stock, Real Red buttons, 1 3/4", 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches, Circus Circle stamp set, Favourite Things stamp set, Real Red marker and Tempting Turquoise ink.

Snorkeling Fun Layout

Good Morning,

I hope you are having a great week with all this sunshine. Finally we have nice weather!!.

I'm super pumped as tonight is our first Scrapper's 6 club night. These ladies are going to have so much fun learning about all about the world of scrapbooking!!

My inspiration for this layout came from Creating Keepsakes August issue. I really like how they layered many different card stock and pattern paper together.  I have to tell you that I love the new Favourite Things stamp set. It's a great stamp set for scrapbooking and for organization especially when it's paired with the new Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper. 

My girls were so excited to go swimming in our neighbour's pool as they just put one it. Whenever they go swimming they always take their flippers, snorkel and goggles.  A must have when you are looking for buried treasures in the pool (diving sticks)!!

I love how this layout turn out....especially love the colour combo!! I used Rose Red, Whisper White and Bermuda Bay!!

 

Recipe:Whisper White, Rose Red, Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay card stock, Thoroughly Modern D.S.P,  1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punch, Modern Label Punch (love it and use it all the time), Bermuda Bay Marker, Favourite Things stamp set, Scallop Punch, Go-G0 Boots Sizzlits Alphabet, Big Shot machine, Movers and Shapers Punch Window die.

Sweet Girls!!!

Hello,

I hope you had a great weekend. It was so sunny and warm here. We spent most of the afternoon outside working in the gardens and spreading dirt onto the grass.

I want to share with you the last layout that my Scrapper's 6 club did last week. I just love these pictures of the girls. They were outside one afternoon taking shots of each other. I just had to scrapbook them!!

Sweet Victory!!!

Happy Thursday my friends,

Tonight, is my Scrapper's 6 club. I'm really looking forward to seeing this group of ladies. On one of the layouts tonight, I will be showing them how easy it is to add Chipboard to their layouts especially when you have the Big Shot machine.

For my title, I cut all my letters from Chipboard with the Serif Letter dies and the Big Shot machine. I really wanted to add some texturz to my chipboard. I read in my Creating Keepsake magazine that you could add texturz to chipboard by running it through the Big Shot machine with the Texturz plates. I was so excited that I just had to give it a try!! Oh my gosh...it amazing!! It's hard to tell from the picture, but I used the Distress texture plates to add emboss look to the letters.

Here is a picture of my girl at her Final Cross Country meet in the Fall. She placed 24th out of 150 top runners from the school board. It was so cold that day, as you can tell from the look on her face. She is just saying " Hurry up mommy!!"

 

The colour's that I used were Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock.

Sand-tastic

Happy Friday,

I can't believe that my week off is almost over. It just flew by especially with all this warm weather that we had. 

Last summer, we had the chance to go tubing at a near by lake with a bunch of our friends. We had such a great time. It was the first time that Alison and I went tubing and all I can say is that we loved it!! I will show you that layout soon.

My friend's little girl was having so much fun in the sand and water that I couldn't resist taking these photo's of her. She decided to fill the sand pail with water and sand and then stand it in. You could just hear her saying " I'm the queen of the castle...."

This was one of the layouts that we did last night in my scrapper's 6 club. I showed them ways to add embossing to their layouts. I stamped the sand pail in Versamark and then all over the page.Then I sprinkled clear embossing powder on to it and then using the heat gun I embossed it. I love how the sand pail takes on the look of the paper, as this is tone on tone.

 

Recipe: Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel card stock, Life's a breeze stamp set, Versamark pad, Clear embossing powder, Heat gun, Circle Scissor Plus cutter (oh my gosh...love it), 1 3/8 and 1 1/4" square punches, and ABC alphabet stamp set.

Joy Scrapper's 6 Samples

Hello,

Wow, this week is just flying by, I can't believe that it's Thursday already and only one more day till the weekend. I think every week should be a 4 day week!!

I'm looking forward to having my Scrapper's 6 club tonight. This is the first night for this group of talented ladies and I can't wait to spend the next 6 months together.

I figured that everyone would have tons of Christmas pictures to scrapbook right after the holiday. With my scrapper's 6 club, I love to provide the girls with a sketch and let them build their own layout from there. This way they learn how to choose card stock, pattern paper and embellishments to match the colours in their pictures. The one thing that I love about scrapbooking is that we can all start with the same sketch but in the end each layout is different.

 

Here is the other side as it just easier to take the photo's this way.

Scrapper's 6 Club

Hello,

I would like to take this moment to think about all the Soliders that have fought in the War for us to protect our country and provide us with the freedom that we have today. My thoughts are with them and their families as we remember this Special Day!!

I very excited as tonight is our monthly Scrapper's 6 club and I can't wait to see all the ladies. Tonight, I will be showing them how beautiful our Simply Scrappin Kits are. I will be showing them layouts from the I Wish Simply Scrappin' kit. I have create 3 double page layouts and still have tons of supplies leftover to make 2 more layouts or cards. This kit just goes on and on.

   

I know, I know... Im just getting around to scrapbook last year's Chrismtas photo's. I find Christmas really hard to scrapbook because of all the hustle and bustle. I'm really pleased how this layout turned out and love how easy it came together with the Simply Scrappin' kit. My little Pumpkins!!!

Hello my friends,

I saw this cute idea in one of my favourite magazine and thought hey I need to give that a try.They used the Coluzzle to create different sizes circles and made a pumpkin out of it!! I love when I find different ways to use the products that I already owe. It's more bang for your buck!!

Every Fall, my family goes to a local farm where they grow their own apples, pumpkin, offer train rides and so much more. Each year, I always make sure to take pictures of the girls in the pumpkin patch. So I decided to create this layout around our fun day in the pumpkin patch.

 

I used the grass from the Inspired by Nature stamp set and stamp it using Really Rust ink onto More Mustard card stock. The pumpkin was created using the Coluzzle and the stem was using the Tag punch.

Recipe:Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie, and More Mustard card stock, Inspired by Nature stamp set, Really Rust ink, Coluzzle, and the Tag Punch.

My little Runner.....

Hello my friends,

I'm very excited as tonight is our Scrapper's 6 club and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. I provide them with a sketch and then they build their layout from there. It's so neat to see the end results as they are all different and unique.

Remember me telling you about my daughter placing Second last week at the South Regional Cross Country meet. I just love this layout as it show her having fun doing what she love to do...that is run!!! This is one of the sketches for tonight's class.

   

Look how proud she is after her run. The left side of the layout is show casing her run at her school where she came in 1st place for her age group. I included the ribbon also for her. The right side of the layout is the Regional meet.  I can't wait to take some more pictures of her at the Finals in one week!! Way to go sweetheart!!!

Scrapper's 6 layout

My heart goes out to anyone with family or friends in the path of Hurricane Ike. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!!

I wanted to show you this layout that my Scrapper's 6 ladies made last week. In my Scrapper's 6 club, I'm showing the ladies how to build a layout from a sketch. I provide them with the sketch as a template and they create their layout using thier own pictures. 

 I saw this cute layout in a scrapbook magazine, so I used the basic of the layout and made it my own. Let me know what you think??

 

I want to capture the growth in my girls from the first day of school in Sept 07 to the end of June 08. I love the end result!! I showed them how to cover our Chipboard with our beautiful Designer Series Paper. They have so much fun using the Big Shot to die cut out their Titles!! All of them said that they were adding the Big Shot to their Christmas List!!

Recipe:All supplies Stampin' Up!! ~~ Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette card stock, Bella Rose D.S.P, Pencil stamp is from ABC upper Alphabet, Chipboard Letter "Y", Sizzix Lollipop letters, Scallop Edge Punch and Crop-a-dile.
