SCS Sketch and Love you Much Bundle

Happy Day my friends,

Yesterday Mr. Brown stopped by with a box full of my preorder from the New Spring and Summer catalogue. I can't wait to show you my projects using the some of the new stamp set and Designer Series Paper.

I was excited to see my Valentine's Love You Much Bundle but sad to see that the stamp set is on backorder. I only received the new Heart to Heart punch, and the new YUMMY Candy Lane Designer Series Paper. I was on my Demonstrator website and read that they sold 9000 preorder's Bundle to demonstrator's this month. So they need to restock the stamp set and designer series paper again. They said it would ship within the next week. This bundle is a great deal as you are saving 20% of the retail price from Dec 23 to Jan 31, 2009. The regular price is $62. 85 and you can purchase it for only  $50.28. Wow, what a deal!! I will be doing a class with this set at the end of January. Watch for details soon.

I made this card using the New Heart to Heart punch and the Candy Lane paper. I plan on stamping a sentiment at the bottom when my stamp set comes in. I made this card using SCS card sketch challenge # 208.

Recipe:Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla card stock, Heart to Heart punch, Candy Lane D.S.P, Rectangle Nesties, Scallop Nesties, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon and Close to Cocoa marker.

SCS Sketch #202

Happy Friday my friends,

Last night, I was so excited to unpack an order and play with my new stamp set Winter Post. This was one of the stamp sets on my Wish List and I finally decided it was time to order it. I'm so glad that I did and can't wait to create more projects with it.

I really want to play along with some of the sketches out there in Blog Land and decided on the Splitcoaststampers Weekly Card Sketch. This is a great place to start when you are looking for templates for cards.  My goal this weekend is to try out a few more sketches and I will be showing you my projects next week!!

Here is my card for Sketch #202. This template is very simple and I love how the card turned out.

SCS Colour Challenge #187

Hello my Friends,

I was so excited to see this week's colour challenge on Splitcoaststampers as it's my favourite colour combination of Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss. I just knew that I had to make a card using these colours along with the new Hawaii Papaya D.S.P. These colours scream "Fall to me!!""

I'm having a lot of fun using my Brayer with the Emboss Resist technique, so I thought I would use it on this card. I first stamp my Upsy Daisy flowers in Versamark onto glossy white paper, then I sprinkled White Embossing power onto the image and then heat set using a Heat Tool Gun. Then using the Brayer, I bray across the Top Note Die using 2 different colours. I wanted to create the look of flowers in a sun set!! Let me know what you think??

Recipe: All supplies Stampin' Up!! ~~ Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White card stock, Hawaii Papaya D.S.P, Upsy Daisy stamp set, Versa Mark ink, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool Gun, Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango ink, Large Oval Punch, Chocolate Chip Ribbon and Top Note Die.

Have a great day!!

SCS Colour Challenge/Page Map Sketch

Happy Tuesday morning my friends,

I finally got around to last week's challenge. Last weeks colour challenge # 177 was Groovy Guava, Sahara Sands and Whisper White. When Groovy Guava first came out, it's wasn't a colour I would normal work with, but I have to say the colour grew on me and now I love it especially with Chocolate Chip!!  What a great way to say good-bye to this year In-colours. I sure will miss them, but I love the new In colours also!!

For my card template this week, I start with a card sketch from Becky's Page Map blog. I found this one under the June Cards Page maps. I follow the basic design but added my own touch to it. I really love this site as it's full of inspiration for layouts, cards, and so much more.

Here is the sketch.

My take on this sketch.

Recipe:All supplies Stampin' Up!! ~~ Sahara Sands, Groovy Guava, and Whisper White card stock, Paper Piecing tool, Mat Pack, Live Your Dream stamp set, Wow Flower stamp set, Groovy Guava Ribbon and Ink.

Only 5 more sleeps till the New Fall/Winter book launches!! I can't wait any longer...hopefully my catty's will be here soon!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

While it's the start of a loooong weekend here in Canada. It's our Civic Weekend!! I'm looking forward to hanging with my family on our deck.

As I was reading my August Stampin' Success magazine ( a monthly magazine for demonstrator), I came across this colour combo used in some projects. I really loved the look and thought I would use the colours for this week's Card Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

Here is this week's card sketch in case you would like to play along.

Here is my version of the card sketch. I love accenting my cards with butterflies these days. I can't wait for my new stamp set Dream du Jour to arrive. It's a new nature stamp set in the Fall/Winter Catalogue.

Wait till you see the new products in the catalogue. Make sure to check back tomorrow for a huge New Product announcement that Stampin' Up! will be carrying in the new book and that you can order!!!

Have a super duper day!!

Sail the Sea's...

Good Morning my Friends,

Do you ever find yourself scrambling at the last minute to make a birthday card for a male? My mom is always tells me, that I needed new stamp sets for guys. So one day, I gave her the Catty to look thru and told her to pick out some stamp sets that she liked. The stamp set that she pick reminds us both of Nova Scotia.

My dad is from Nova Scotia and they are famous for their Bluenose Schooner and Peggy's Cove. My mom picked out Winds of Grace as it had a sail boat and a light house image in it. My dad's birthday is in August and I thought this would be a great card for him.

I started out using card sketch # 185 from the SCS Challenge. I decided to flip my sketch the other way. I figure the new In-colours Baja Breeze and Pacific Points would remind us of the Atlantic Coast. Oh, how I would love to take my girls there.....there is just something about the East Coast!!

Recipe: All supplies Stampin' Up!! ~~ Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Kraft and Whisper White card stock, Pewter brads, Winds of Grace stamp set, Pacific Point ink, and Family Phrases stamp set.

If you are sailing the sea's or just hanging at home by the pool or on your deck, have a super duper day spending time with your family!!

Joy Fold Card

Yahoo, it's Friday!! I'm so excited as my husband is now on 2 weeks holidays. We are looking forward to having Daddy home and taking the girls on some day trips!!

I really love this card that I'm going to show you. It's this week tutorial on SCS called Joy Fold Card. I couldn't believe how fast this card came together, and I love the end results. I can see me using this card template for Christmas, Birthdays, Thank-you's and so much more. Check out the tutorial here.

This is the front of my card. I love the new Bella Rose D.S.P along with the New In-colours and Chocolate Chip card stock. I stamped the Butterfly and flower from Time Well Spent onto Whisper White. Using my blender pen and a pool of ink(press lids against pad to gather a pool of ink), I coloured the butterfly and flower in with Red Riding Hood and Pink Pirouette ink by dipping the blender pen into the ink. I then added Crystal Effects to the dots on the wings and flowers.

This is the inside of the card.

Recipe:All supplies Stampin' Up! ~~ Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock, Bella Rose D.S.P, Wow Flowers stamp set, Time Well Spent Stamp set, Dew Drops(Robins' Nest), Crystal Effects, Red Riding Hood and Pink Pirouette ink, Blender Pen, and Chocolate Chip marker.

What do you think?? Don't you just love the colour combo's on this card. Why don't you give it a try. Trust me you will be so happy with the end results.

Have a great Friday!!
