Beautiful Ride

Hello,

Sorry for being not posting much this past week. Alison had my laptop most nights as she need it to help her study for exams and I was busy prepping for my bingo night. I will be sharing all the details of the night with you this week, just need to take pictures of the make and takes!

My project today was one that I made a few weeks ago for #tgifc37 sketch challenge. I really like sketch challenges as they make you think outside the box. They are like a puzzle just waiting to be solved but only with stamp, inks and paper!

When I saw this sketch, I thought it would be the perfect match with the Beautiful Ride stamp set. I was having a conversation with one of my downline who was looking for some wedding stamps and I told "her to use the Beautiful Ride set". She said "Really that set for a wedding card" I just had to create a card to show her what it would look like.

Lots of Love when into making this card. I first stamped my Bug car in Black Archival Ink onto Watercolour Paper and colour it with my Aqua-painter and Bermuda Bay, and Smoky Slate Ink. Then I stamp the couple with Black Archival Ink onto Watercolour Paper and colour them with my Aqua-painter and Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate and Watermelon Wonder ink. Once dry, I fussy cut them out.

Then I did some masking with my Star Decorative masks stencil. I used my Crushed Curry Sponge dauber to colour in the stars. Once it was dry, then I did a wash with my soft sky ink and my Aquapainter. The bottom was stamped with the grunge image from Timeless Textures to create a sandy road.

Once my card was dry, I assembled it and stamp my greeting with Memento Ink and attached it with two staples!!

I'm really happy the way this card turned out and can't wait to create some more cards like this!!

#TGIFC20

Hello,

I had a chance to play along with this week's sketch over at TGIF. This week the challenge was a fun sketch and I couldn't wait to play along and figure out the missing pieces. I always say " a sketch challenge is a mystery just waiting to be solved, all you have to do is find the missing pieces!!"

Onto the sketch challenge...

And this is what I came up with....

I finally broke down and add the Acorny Thank you bundle to my last order. I have to admit that this was not at the TOP of my wishlist when the new Holiday Catalogue came out. But after seeing tons of samples online, I figure I should give it a try.

I'm so glad that I did..I love the Acorn Builder Punch as this help to create those acorns so much easier! All you have to do is stamp the image and punch them out. Got love that!! I finally had a chance to use the new Into the Woods Designer Series Paper. I love that this paper is all about natural with leaves, flowers and woodgrains! It's perfect for your fall season projects!!

Now, it's your turn to play along with this week's sketch. Head over to the TGIF blog to see all the fabulous creations with this sketch! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

You will find all the supplies to all the products I have used on my projects at the bottom of this post. I hope you will visit my Canadian Online Stampin' Up! Store and browse around. You will find the weekly deals here along with huge discount product in the Clearance Rack!!

#TGIFC08 Together Forever!

Happy Monday!!

I hope you are having a great start to your day!! Just to let you know that there will be NO Coffee and Cards this week as it's the last week of school here and I know how crazy this week can be!! I can't believe that I only have 5 more days to work..and then it's 2 months off!! Yahoo!!!!!

This week over at TGIF challenges, the challenge was to make a project that celebrates togetherness.  Could be for a wedding, anniversary, or just because I Love You. This challenge came at the perfect time, as I had to make two wedding cards for co-workers at work!!

Blog - June 2015-018

While searching pinterest, I came across a pin that showed how to make a wedding dress from a doily and a heart punch. I thought it would be fun to give it a try for my card. I love how this turned out and can't wait to see what my co-workers think!! The greeting is from the For the New Two stamp set!

Now it's your turn to try this sketch challenge. Head over to TGIF to see all the details, I can't wait to see what you create!!!

TGIF Remix Challenge

Happy Friday!!

Last week over at TGIF Challenge, the challenge was a Monthly Challenge Remix! You are probably thinking a remix challenge, what is that Anne? The challenge was to pick TWO of their challenge and create a challenge mashup!  For example, combine the Sketch with the Color challenge, or make a Congrats Grad card using the sketch...get it?

I thought it would be fun to combine the sketch challenge along with the colour challenge.

I decided to use the new Build a Birthday stamp as is it was sitting on my desk and I really wanted to make a card with the candles! I thought this challenge would be perfect for it!

Blog - June 2015-003

This sketch is one that I will use again as there is so many different occasions that you can use it for!!

Blog - June 2015-004Now I did use the Label framelits on my card, and they just recently retired on Tuesday. But not to worry...as there are NEW label framelits in the new catalogue that you can use to create the same look!!

Blog - June 2015-005My candles were stamped in Pool Party and Calyspo Coral and the flame was stamped in Crushed Curry!!

I hope you have a chance to play along with some of the fabulous challenges over at TGIF!! I can't wait to try out this week's...Watercolouring!!

TGIF Challenge

Hello,

On the weekend, I finally had a chance to sit down and create! I decided that I need to start creating cards using a variety of challenges. I love using challenges as they make me think outside the box and takes me out of my comfort zone!!!

As I was looking for a challenge, I came across TGIF Challenge and thought it would be fun to play along with their colour challenge this week.

This week challenge was to use the colour combo of Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Pool Party. These colours screamed spring to me!!

Since I was creating for my Coffee and Cards, I decide to use this colour combo for one of my projects. I love how simple and clean this card is!!

BlogPhotos3-039

Sad to admit, but this was the first time that I used the Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper. Not sure why I waited so long...this paper is gorgeous!!

Have some time to get creative this week, why not give this challenge a try? Trust me, you will love this colour combo!!!
