This is what I have been up to.....

I hope you had a great week and are ready to take on the weekend!!!! Let's hope the weather is nice so that we can enjoy our backyards.

I wanted to share with you what I have been working on for the last week. My co-worker Helen asked me if I could make her wedding invitations for her. After showing her a few samples, she settled on this.  This beautiful invitation was cased from my good friend Corinne. She made the same invite for her daughter.

We changed the  colours on Helen's to Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel, along with Confetti White.

Here is the front of the invitation. I embossed the Mr and Mrs with clear embossing powder and stamped the Fifth Avenue flowers in Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa over top of it.  The invitation is a trifold style.

 

Here is the inside of the invitation. I printed off all the information on Vellum card stock, and adhered it to a stamped piece of Very Vanilla. I randomly stamped the Fifth Avenue flowers all over the card stock. There are 3 different colours and styles of flowers and they are stamped 3 times. I made 130 invites so that is 1170 flowers!!!

There is a pocket to hold the reply card and map. Here is a sample of the reply card.

 

I have to say that I'm very pleased how they turned out and the Bride to be just loved them!!!

Wedding Card

Good Morning my friends,

I hope you are having a great week so far. I can't believe that it's Wednesday already!! I have been busy working on Wedding and Bridal Shower cards for my display board in my studio. It's that time of year when most of us are invited to family and friend's weddings.

I decided that it was time to invest in some Wedding stamp sets. I really like the stamp set To have and to Hold. I especially like the Bride and Groom image.

I create this card asa Bridal Shower invite. You could easily uses this as a Wedding Card. The swirls in the background our embossed using the Texturz Plates and the Big Shot machine. Check out the new Scallop Oval Punch, gotta love it!!!

 

Recipe:Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock, Scallop Oval Punch, To have and to hold stamp set, Large Oval Punch, Stampin' Up Texturz plates, Big Shot machine, White Organza Ribbon, and markers.

For the Bride Bridal Shower Invites

Hello,

I have been busy making shower invitations for my co-worker these last few weeks. When she asked me to make her shower invites, I was so excited. So I created a few samples for her to see and then she picked her favourite. As soon as she saw the Bride image from the stamp set For a Bride, she fell in love. She really likes the design on the Bride's dress.

Here is the invitation that she went with. I printed the information off onto Shimmery White card stock, and then layer it onto Barely Banana card stock. The Bride was stamped in Regal Rose and I coloured her hair in with the Barely Banana marker.

Bridal Shower Invites

Hello,

I hope you are having a great week so far. It's been a busy one for us with lots of hockey!!

My co-worker asked me if I would be interested in making her bridal shower invites along with her wedding invitations for her Summer wedding. Of course I said "Yes". I find that these days, so many brides want to make their own as it's more personal. Once her aunt found out I was making them she asked me to make another set of bridal invites for a friend.

I made a few different designs for them to choose from and they ended up going with this one.

       

I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture but I embossed the Pink Pirouette with the new Texturz plates from Stampin' Up! The "For Your Shower" stamp is from the new Eight Great Greeting stamp set in the Occasion Mini.

Recipe: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card stock, SU Texturz Plates, Eight Great Greetings stamp set, and Regal Rose ink.
