Hello,
I'm so excited as Stampin' Up has started a new on-line community for all their demonstrators. It's called Stampin' Up!'s Stampin Connection. What a great way to connect with other demonstrator's to chat about all kinds of different things like techniques, tips, products, and projects!!
I'm excited to share this cool technique with you. It's called Faux Rawhide.
To create the background, you are going to take a piece of wax paper that is larger then the card stock. Crunch up the wax paper into a ball and then open. Add a few drops of re-inkers to the wax paper. Using the Brayer, spread the ink out. The inked area needs to be larger then your card stock. Flip the wax paper over and lay it over top of your card stock. Roll the brayer over top again holding firm so paper does not move. Remove wax paper and voila, Faux Rawhide.
I love how it creates this cool background that looks like water or even ice. I added the whale from Fox and Friends as I wanted it to look like he was swimming in the water.
Recipe: Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and Whisper White, Fox and Friends stamp set, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Brocade Ink and Re-inker, Brayer, and Wax Paper.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day,
