Christmas Card

Hello,

Sorry for being missing in action the few days. I would think about posting then got side track and the next thing I know it's been a few days. I'm still spending most days on the couch. I tried to do a few things and then I get tired very easily. I'm slowly starting to introduce those foods that I have not been able to have for over a month like dairy. Oh, I can't wait for the day that I can have a hamburger and fries!! Hopefully in the New Year, I can give this a try!!

My card today was one that we created last month in our Christmas Stamp a Stack! I wanted to keep these cards simple in case they wanted to mass produce them if they still had cards to make!!

 

I went with the tradition colours of Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadows ( I love this colour for Christmas) and Whisper White. Those colours look striking together!! My greeting is from the Oh, What Fun stamp set. This is one stamp set that you would like in your collection as it's perfect for cards, Memory Keeping, Scrapbooking and Tags. And the best part is that is coordinates with our Oh What Fun Project Kit.

Advent Calendar

Hello,

I can't believe that it's December 1st already and I haven't started my Christmas shopping!! I'm hoping that next week I can tackle this task as I'm starting to feel better each day. It might take me a few trips to the mall, but I will go with a plan and hope that I can cross people off my list!!

Well, we put up our tree on Sunday and we didn't even have to do rock, paper and scissors! Mr. Grinch ( aka my wonderful husband) caved and we now have a beautiful Christmas tree in our family room. I decided to let the girls decorate the tree this year and they did a fabulous job ( okay I have to admit that I have move around a few ornaments, LOL).

One of our favourite traditions at this time of year is an advent calendar. We love opening that little door each day to find a special little gift waiting for us. In the past we have had Lego calendars, and chocolate calendars. Still as an adult I love to have one to open each day!

This year, I added a special advent calendar that will be cherished for years to come. This was one was inspired by my bestie Allison Okamitsu from Nice people Stamp! Allison created this beautiful advent calendar for the Stampin' Up! corporate blog a few weeks back. And as soon as I saw it, I knew that I had to create it. Thanks Allison for the inspiration!!

I love how each box is decorated beautiful with the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper. This paper is a gorgeous as it has a vintage feel to it!

The bottom reminds me of a beautiful tree skirt wrapped around the tree.

My tree has 26 boxes as the top one doesn't open. This top box is marked with special symbols from the Hello December 2015 Project Life Accessory kit and I finished it off with a Mossy Meadows bow.

Festival of Tree

Hello,

I hope you are having a great weekend! Yesterday was a fun day that I really needed for my soul and to help me with my healing process. In the morning, I had 4 wonderful ladies stamp with me during our Santa's workshop. They were busy elves as they worked on their advent calendars and their Christmas tags and note cards set. It felt so good to just sit and chat while their they were busy working on their projects. It sure put me in a happy mood!

Then in the afternoon, Alison and I decorated for the holidays. Okay, I have to admit that Alison did most of it as I can't lift anything for 6 weeks. I'm so grateful for her and her love for the holidays. It's so cute to watch her as she decorate the house. We miss Corrie and Emily as they were working but we did save the Christmas tree for them to help us with. Now the debate in our house is where are we going to put the Christmas Tree? A few of us want it in the living room and some want in it the front room by the window where by studio is! I will let you know the outcome...wish us luck!

I thought it was time to ink up some older stamp set from last year, and Festival of Tree was at the top of the list!

Stamp with me...

The striking colours of Sahara Sand and Blackberry Bliss make elegant colours at this time of year plus it's a nice switch up from the traditional colours of red and green. I stamped my plaid trees in blackberry bliss onto a piece of whisper white card stock and punch it out with the matching tree punch. The greeting was stamped in Blackberry Bliss onto a piece of Whisper White and punch out with 2" circle. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but I emboss my piece of Sahara Sand card stock with the Stripes Embossing folder and my big shot machine. All the elements were popped up using dimensionals. I added the silver stars to add a little pop of colour to the card! You can see all the supplies that I used for this card below. 

Well, we are off to figure out where to put our Christmas tree! Wish us luck..this might get interesting, we might have to rock, paper, scissors to figure it out! LOL

Christmas Tags

Hello,

What a productive day I had yesterday! I spent most of the afternoon in my studio creating a variety of Christmas tags. Each year, I say "I'm going to create tags for my gifts" and each year I run out of time! But not this year, I'm ready to go!!

I spent some time on Friday night searching Pinterest for a variety of idea's. I decided that I would create 5 or more of each tag using a variety of my Christmas stamp set. The best part was along the way after I was done using the stamp set it was put away in a tote for next year!!

I used the following stamp sets for my tags...Cheeful tags, Ornamental Pine, Endless Wishes, Christmas Bliss, Get your Santa on, Santa Stache, Festival of Tree's and the tags from the Nov Paper Pumpkin kit.

I can't wait for my family to see these tags on top of their presents!! I hope I have inspired you to create your own tags this holiday season!!

Kinda Eclectic Christmas

Happy Friday!

One of my favourite things is discovering that when you purchase a stamp set and finding a variety of other ways to use that stamp set. Kinda Eclectic is that multiple purpose stamp set that you can use for any occasion!! I was stamping one day with this set and saw vision of Christmas dancing in my head! Really a Christmas card.. • stamp ornament from Ornament Keepsakes in real red ink and cut out with the Big Shot and Holiday Ornament Framelits. Using the Big Shot and framelits will give you a clean cut!!

• stamp greeting from More Merry Messages in Mememto Black Ink - my new favourite go to black ink

Are you ready? I'm getting there. I spent most of yesterday baking and wrapping. I don't know about you but one of my not favourite things to do is wrap gifts!! But I'm glad to say that it's over for another year!!

My project today uses the Merry Little Christmas Simply Kit and the matching Merry Little Christmas stamp set! I wanted to show you a different way to use this kit. My card was inspired by one that I saw on Pinterest!!

Endless Wishes Christmas Card

We are having a major ice storm right now. Yesterday was mostly rain and in the middle of the night it has switched over to ice. I sure wish it was Snow instead of rain and ice! We now have green grass showing...yuck...I want a White Christmas!!

Santa Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday!!

We had so much fun on Friday night at our club night. I had two clubs together for one big stampin party!! The ladies had a great time listening to Christmas music, enjoying some yummy chocolate and chatting with their friends.

This month we focus on gift card holders and I can't wait to share them all with you!! All my gift holders were inspired ones that I found on Pinterest!!

The top of the gift card holder was punched with the Envelope Punch board, to create the notches for the flaps to close the holder.

Best of Snow

Hello,

What a great title for today, we are under another Snow Storm watch! It's been snowing here since the middle of the night and it's suppose to continue thru till Sunday! What a great day to stay home, listen to some Christmas music and stamp the day away with new Product from the New Occasions Mini catalogue! Oh wait, must write my Christmas cards before I do that!!!
