Hello,

Over the weekend, I had a chance to play along with last weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. This sketch was designed by Cécile and it was a fun one. At first, I was like "what am I going to do with that sketch?" After playing around with a few different colour combinations, I finally came up with this!!

I had some new product on my table and I thought why not use them! LOVE, LOVE the new Pinewood Planks 3D Dynamic Texture Impression Folder! The impressions are so deep and real!!

I went with the colour combination of Berry Burst, Basic Black and Whisper White. These colours together are so rich and stunning!! 

My pattern paper is from the Color Theory Designer Series Pack and the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper pack!! 

Doesn't this chair look so inviting? Makes me just want to sit outside with a nice cold glass of Ice Tea!! I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set!! The greeting is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set!

Bear Hugs - Valentine Card

Hello,

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are having a lovely day with your loved ones! It's a quiet one around here which is just what we all need..a chillin' day! We have been so busy that we are all looking forward to watching some movies and I am looking forward to some time to stamp!!

I stuck into my room this morning to create this fun Valentine card for Corrie. I couldn't resist using the new Bear Hugs stamp set and matching Bear Hug framelits. This new bundle is a one that you can use for any occasions from birthdays, to thanks, anniversary and just to say " I Love you."

As I was starting to make this card, I knew that I wanted to use this week's Freshly Made Sketch #223. This fun sketch was created by Amy. I love that this sketch can be used for some many occasions and one that I will be using again in the future!!

 

So once I gathered my inks, stamps, and paper, I knew that I wanted my card to be a Valentine's card and that the bear would be my main focus!

When I was designed the card, I knew that I wanted to use the Love Blossom Designer Series Paper pack and chose the colours that coordinate with this paper pack: Crumb Cake, Rose Red, Blushing Bride and Whisper White.

The Love Blossom paper pack worked perfect for the stripes behind my circle. My bear was stamped in Crumb Cake and cut out with my Bear Hugs framelits and Big Shot machine. One of my favourite things is when I can stamp an image and die cut it out with a framelit...simple, easy and no fussy cutting!!

Freshly Made Sketches #189

I hope you are having a great day! It's a nice and quiet one around here. The girls are working on projects for school and we just finished working up the garden. Next week we will get some new flowers and mulch!

Yesterday, I had a chance to play along with this week's Freshly Made Sketches. It's a clean and simple one that was created by Narelle.

As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew that I wanted to use the new Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper and the "I think you're Great" stamp set!

Did you notice the gold thread hiding behind my greeting? That is the new Gold  Metallic Thread Twine and it's awesome to work with!!

Freshly Made Sketch 187 - Sneak Peak of Sprinkles of Life

Hello,

No better way to start your morning off with a sketch challenge? This week's sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches was designed by Cindy. As soon as I saw the layout, I knew exactly the pieces I was going to use to create my project!!

As soon as I saw the sketch, I vision a birthday card with Ice Cream Cones. And the new Sprinkles of Life stamp set was perfect set to help me create the pieces I need to figure out my sketch puzzle!!

This new stamp set is our Ronald McDonald's set for the year, and for every set sold, Stampin' Up! will donate $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald's house across Canada!

Did you know that this stamp set has a coordinating builder punch that goes with it? Yes, all you need to do is stamp your images and punch them out. The neat thing about this stamp is it's so versatile as you can create cupcakes, clouds, baskets, tree's, ice cream cones and the list goes on.

This ice cream cone looks so yummy to eat!! My colours are Watermelon Wonder, Crushed Curry and Pool Party!!

Sheltering Tree

Hello,

I hope you are having a great weekend! Ours is a quiet one which is nice for a change!! When I was designed for my projects for Coffee and Cards, I turned to the web to look for some fun sketch challenges. I came across this fun sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I really like the clean and simply look to it and couldn't wait to figure out my pieces for the sketch!!

When I saw the pieces tug behind the square, I automatically thought of Washi Tape. Since I was designing with the colours of Crisp Cantaloupe and Basic Grey, I knew the Sweet Dreams Washi tape would coordinate beautifully with my project.

I stamped my tree in Basic Grey and my flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe. As I said in previous post, I'm really going to miss this colour when it leaves on June 2!!

Stampin' Tips:

• layers of Whisper White creates a simple and clean project
• add layers of Washi tape for a fun background detail
• pop up your image for extra dimension
• Sweet Dreams Washi Tape will be leaving us on June 2

 My projects today features the new You plus me stamp set along with the new Stack with Love Designer Series Paper pack. The neat thing about this new paper stack is one side of the paper is Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Real Red, Whisper White patterns and then the other side is Basic Black with those colours!

I love using sketches when creating cards. I used sketch #167 from Freshly Made Sketches. I love the clean and simple design, thanks Narelle for the great sketch!!

Freshly Made Sketches #122

Happy Monday!!

This week's Freshly Made Sketches was a Clean and Simple sketch that was created by Cindy H and its a fun one!! I think this is one that I will keep for future references as you can use it for any occasions!

I always struggle with Men's cards so I challenged myself to create one. I had the Watercolour Designer Series Paper on my desk so I looked for a pattern that I thought would work and use the colour combo in the paper to create my card.

Striking colours of Island Indigo and Smoky Slate created this masculine card!!

Happy Monday!

A new week with new sketches and challenges. I'm having tons of fun playing along with all these sketches and the best part is they are making me think outside the box and I'm using up supplies!

This week's Freshly Made Sketches is created by Linda. When I first saw this sketch, I had an idea in my mind but when I actually put it on paper it just wasn't working for me. So I scratch that idea and went with another one and love the finally result. I had Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper on my desk and thought it would be fun to use that!! I have to say " That I love the colour combo in this paper...makes me think of spring!"
