Apple of my Eye

The other day while blog hopping, I saw a really cool idea on my friend Erica's blog and knew that I had to give it a try!! Erica showed us how to use the pear from the Apple of the Eye stamp set to create a strawberry. What?? OMG...I love when you can show your customers a cool trick and another way to use the stamp instead of what it was designed for!!

I don't know about you but we LOVE strawberries. We are very luck to have a local greenhouse near us that grows there own strawberries and nothing beats that taste of fresh local strawberries. I'm excited as I know that the strawberry season at Heeman's is just around the corner and we can't wait!

My project today was inspired by the cute strawberry paper that is in the Sweet LiL' Designer Series paper.

So did you see how I made the strawberries? I used the pear stamp from the Apple of my Eye stamp set, stamped them upside down, and add white seeds using my white gel pen. My strawberries were stamped in Watermelon Wonder and the leaves in Cucumber Crushed.

My greeting was from the Apple of the Eye stamp set which was stamped in Watermelon Wonder.

I have to say that I love this colour combination and will be using it again in the future.

Graduation Card

Hello,

OMG...we can't contain our excitement as we leave today for our Mediterranean Cruise with Stampin' Up! We are flying out of London and we will be heading to the airport mid afternoon. I'm really sad to be leaving Corrie and Alison at home as I really wish they could have come with us but I'm looking forward to this time with Emily before she heads off to University of Waterloo in the fall!! I will try to post some pictures on my facebook page if I can get some WIFI connection while we are in ports but if we can't, I will be sharing our trip with you when we get back. I have tons of blog post for you next week to keep you inspired while I'm gone!!

My project is a card that I made for a friend. Her daughter is graduating from college this weekend and she asked if I could make her a card in her school colours of red, black and white!!

 

I love that you can use the It's My Party Designer Series Paper pack for more then just birthday projects. The black pattern paper was perfect for my focal point for my card. I used the 1" square punch to make my graduation hat and the red tassel is from the Balloon Framelits.

My greeting is from the  BYOP stamp set. I have looked at this stamp set so many times in the catalogue. It has been on my wishlist for along time and I'm excited to say that it's carrying over into the new book. Yahoo!! Of course, I had to make a matching envelope using my Envelope Punch Board. The numbers were cut out using the Large Number Framelits and the Big Shot machine.

My colour inspiration that I used on this project was.

Whisper White

Sunburst Sayings CASE

Hello,

It's been a busy few days as we put the final touches on getting ready for the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Cruise Incentive Trip. Emily and I leave on Saturday afternoon, and we are so excited. I have been busy prepping for 2 different set of swaps, packing and just making sure we have everything we need. I will do a finally once over on Saturday morning and then we are off!! I have also been playing with new goodies, so that I have blog post to show you next week while I'm gone!!

My project today is one that I CASE from Cindy. It's one of the projects that she created for the Stampin' Up! Inspiration Saturday over at Scrapbook and Cards Today! When I saw this bright and colourful card, I just knew that I had to CASE it!! Thanks Cindy for the inspiration!!

A Nice Cuppa

Hello Stampers!!

I have some mixed feeling about today's project!! One I'm really excited to share the project with you but I'm very sad to tell you that it's on the Farewell List and it's already sold out. Meaning that you can no longer purchase the framelits, and stamp set. This makes me sad as this was a great stamp set that you can use for many occasions like birthdays, thank you, think of you, invitation to a tea party or if you were sending a hello card to a friend!!

I saw a similar project on Pinterest and wanted to switch up the colours. I used Watermelon and Basic Grey. My photo sure doesn't look like Watermelon..it looks more red!! LOL

One of my must have stamp set that I used in my background is the Timeless Textures stamp set. The exciting news...this stamp set is carrying over into the new book! Yahoo....it's one of those stamp set that you leave on your table as you will always be reaching for it!!

For you Fry Box

Hello,

Each month at work, I teach a variety of projects to my students in a Scrapbooking Club. We do four projects: 2 card, a 3D item and a scrapbook layout. Each session is 4 weeks and we rotate between the grades starting with the grade 4's. We are on our last month with the7/8's and I'm looking forward to showing them the beautiful art of papercrafting!!

Last month, I taught the grade 6's how to make this adorable treat holder using the Fry Box Die. I'm really sad to see this die on the retiring list and have to admit that I'm going to hold onto my mine so that I can make some great treat holders when I do craft shows in the fall!!

I gave my students the option of creating a tag that read "For You" or "Happy Mother's Day". We used the Birthday Bloom stamp set for the For you tag and the "World's Best Mother" greeting from the A Nice Cuppa stamp set.

Of course we had to filled the treat holder with some yummy chocolates!! We used the 4 by 6 cello bags and filled them with 3 Lindor Chocolates. Our tag was made with the note tag punch, the birthday blooms stamp set and they we finished it off with Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon!

Botanical Blooms

Hello,

The new Botanical Blooms suite is the perfect way to welcome the Spring Weather! We are still waiting for it here, one day it's nice and warm and the next day it's freezing!! Maybe if I play around this bundle suite, Mother Nature will take the hint and give us some warm weather soon!!

I'm really going to miss these colours: Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadows and Hello Honey when they retired at the end of the month.

I can't believe the 2014 Annual Catalogue has been out since last year and I'm just using the Fluttering Embossing folder now!! OMG..love how it looks in the background!!

Birthday Blooms

Happy Monday!!

I hope you had a great weekend! We sure did..it was a great weekend of checking things off the to do list! I spent most of Saturday morning organizing my studio and rearranging my stuff into my new Alex Desk from Ikea!! I'm over the moon excited about my new table and how much room there is and the best part everything has a new home in the desk. I have a few more things to do in my room, and then I will be sharing pictures with you!!

My card today is a CASE from Pinterst from my friend Alison from Stamp Crazy with Alison!! She did really cool technique where she used the Wink of Stella and an inkpad to colour in the flowers. The best part...you have a shimmer shine to your flowers!!

I love how simply and elegant this card is. I think it's the soft colours that remind me of this time of year...Spring!!

Froggie Birthday Card

I'm not quite sure where this week went? I'm sorry for being MIA a lot this week but it was a crazy week with appointments after work and it seem like we had something on each night!! I spent the morning cleaning and doing things around the house and now that my to do list is all checked off, I will be spending the rest of the day in my studio creating some fun things to show you this week!! I'm so looking forward to putting on my music and crafting the afternoon away!!

I have another project today showing the Playful Pals Bundles. This time it's a cutie Frog!!

Doesn't this card, but a smile on your face?? I think this would make a great card to send to a friend to tell them you miss them!! My greeting is from the stamp set Acorny Thank You. This was one of the bundles that carried over from the Last Holiday Catalogue.

Playful Pals

This is one stamp set and framelits that were not on my list when the Occasional catalogue was introduce back in January. I thought...that is cute but what would I make with it. Then I starting seeing all these fabulous creations on Pinterest and thought...hmmm...there is alot you could do with this bundle. You can make cards, and 3D boxes.

Over March Break, my friend Marcy came for a morning of stamping. She had just got this new bundle in and we play with it!! OMG...cuteness overload!! This bundle rocks!! I have to admit, once I started I couldn't stop!!

A Nice Cuppa!!

Happy Monday!! Sorry for the late post, it was a CRAZY busy weekend with our annual stamp and scrapbook sale on Saturday and then I had a downline meeting on Sunday. So basically last night, I hit the couch and just relax while watching some TV!

First, a huge "Thank you" to everyone that stopped by our sale on Saturday morning and for making it a huge success!! Judging by how busy it was, you were excited about the sale. I hope you are enjoying your new purchases!!

It has taken me awhile to get this new bundle, but I'm so glad that I did. Especially with so many special occasions coming up, it will be the perfect stamp set to create some unique projects. I was thinking Mother's Day or year end gifts for teachers.

While searching idea's on Pinterest, I came across this card and it was instant love! I love the soft colours and most of all that it uses my favourite Timeless Texture stamp set!!

My goal this week is to create some more cards using this fabulous bundle. I really do LOVE when Stampin' Up! creates a matching framelit to go with the stamp set. Easy peasy...all you do is stamp and cut out with the big shot and the matching framelit. Plus you can get the other accessories to go with this fabulous suite like the Have a Cuppa designer series paper, the bermuda bay 1/8 stitched ribbon, have a cuppa embellishments and the have a cuppa card stock paper pack! So with all these amazing accessories, you can create some amazing projects that you can share with your family and friends!!
