Hello,
Last month at our Memory Keeping Club, I wanted to show my stampers how to use the new Embossing Paste. First of all, I love this new paste!! It's so simply and easy to use that honestly you can't stop using it!!
When designing my page, I wanted to show them a few techniques that they could use on their pages. First we did the marble technique. I wanted to create the look of sticks drag across the sand at the beach. Then, we add some random stamping using the Touches of Textures stamp set. We used the one that looks like sand! Next, we added our embossing paste. We add a few drops of the Crumb Cake reinker to the Embossing Paste to tint the paste a light colour. I wanted it to look like sand on the page.
Once our background was done we started on the next part which was the fence. Using the Classic Label punch and the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper, we cut out post for our fence. Actually one 6 by 6 sheet was the right amount to create the fence across the page. Of course we had to add some Linen Thread to make it look like rope hanging on the fence. The finishing touches was the birds on the fence and the seashell off to the side.
My stampers LOVED this page and learning a little bit of mixed media! They loved it so much that they want another fun technique this month!!
We also create one pocket page to go with our 12 by 12 traditional page. This is the perfect mixed for those that loved the hands on with the traditional pages along with the quick easy with the pocket page!!
I keep this page simply as I knew it would take a little longer to create the 12 by 12 traditional page. On this page, we used the following stamp set: Touches of Texture, So Many Shells, and Colourful Seasons!
I can't stress how important it is to take picture of your daily activities and to get them into album and not on your phone. The pictures you take now will tell stories later for generation to come. You want to make sure you document those chapter in your lives, not just the milestones but those little moments too!
I have listed all the supplies that I have used for you at the bottom of this post, and the best part is that you can either click on the clickable images, or the supply list PDF.
