Last week, while checking out my friend Patty's blog, I came across this cool technique that she showed cased. I thought it really cool and wanted to give it a try. When I saw the technique, I vision a card made with the High Tide stamp set and the swoosh technique behind it.
The swoosh technique was done to create my water in the background behind my lighthouse!! This is such a cool technique and I can't wait to share the other card with you!!
The colours that I used were: Soft Sky, Pool Party and Marina Mist! I love how it looks like the tide is rolling in towards the shoreline.
I stamped the Highlight in Real Red with the solid image and Smoky Slate with the outline image. This creates the shadow effect on the lighthouse! My sand was stamped in Soft Suede and then I add some Old Olive grass randomly over the sand.
Want to recreate my card, you will need the following products:
- Pool Party Card stock - 5 1/2 by 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
- Pool Party Card Stock - 4 by 5 1/4
- Dapper Denim Card Stock - 1 by 4
- Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack - 3 by 4
- Watercolour Paper - 3 by 4
- Stampin' Spritzer filled with water
- Clear Block C
- Pool Party, Soft Sky and Dapper Denim ink pads
- Smoky Slate and Real Red ink pads
- Black Archival Ink
- Memento Ink pad
- Hightide Stamp Set
- Better Together Stamp set
