Tuesday Tips- Sponges

Hello

I had a few people ask me what happen to my Tuesday Tips, and I'm excited to be offering them again!! Moving forward my goal is to do them twice a month. I'm excited to be offering these again for you!!!

My tip this time is all about sponges!! I sometimes feel these are over looked in the catalogue as many don't know what do with them. I love my sponges and used them all the time. They are great for distressing card stock, creating background with them and adding a little colour to a project when you need. 

But one thing we struggle with is how to store these sponges!!! This is my way of storing them plus it helps me keep track of what colours I have!! 

Tips: 

• Cut sponges into equal pieces, help gives you more to use
• The Circle Tab Punch is the perfect way to label your sponges. Plus it's a great way to tell what the colours are, trust me once you used them they all look the same!
• Fold the Circle Tab punch piece over the Sponge and hold in place with a staple
• A container with multiple spots is a great way to store them!!

Tuesday Tip - Clear Mount Stamps

Hello,

Welcome to another Tuesday Tip session!! Have you ever inked up your stamp and when you go to stamp, the rubber stamp falls off the block? I have had this happen to me a few times and when I saw this trick on Pinterest from my fellow demonstrator friend Frenchie, I had to give it a try!! 

At first, I was like what..that won't work! But, I picked up some Bee Wax lip balm and gave it a try..OMG..it's works like magic!! The stamp stays on the block and doesn't fall off. A little tip, don't put to much wax on, or the stamp will slip off the block!! 

I create a photo tutorial for you to show you this cool technique!!

Tuesday Tips - Cleaning your Clear Blocks

Welcome to another Tuesday Tips! This week I'm going to share with you how to clean your clear blocks. I remember telling my friend Heather that my blocks needed a bath as they were dirt and had some glue on them. She suggested that I try hand sanitizer and I was like "WHAT" that will work?? OMG..yes it does and it so much easier then giving your blocks a bath!!

Step 1: Dirt Blocks

Step 2: Grab some hand sanitizer, I just happen to have this in my desk.

Step 3: Add some hand sanitizer to your clear blocks. I just add a few drops on the block.

Step 4: Clean your blocks with a paper towel. 

Step 5: Look at all that dirt on the paper towels..WOW!!!

Step 6: Wow...look at those clean blocks and how dirt that paper towel is!!!

Tuesday Tips - Cleaning your Scrub Pad

Hello Friends, 

Welcome to Tuesday Tips!! Do you every wonder how to clean your basic tools or supplies? Or wonder how do they do that? Then you are luck!! I'm excited to introduce this new feature to my blog, Facebook group and business page! Not on my Facebook page or group, then I would love to have you join me!! You can find me under Stamp With Anne.

Every month, I like to give my Stampin' Scrub Pads a bath. Yes..a bath as they always need a good clean to get all the ink residue off them! While I was doing this yesterday, I thought I would take pictures and share them with you!!

Step 1:

Run them under HOT water, to remove all the ink from the scrub pads. I do this for a good few minutes! 

Step 2:

I let them sit in my dish rack for about 5 minutes as I find this helps to bring all the ink to the surface of the scrub pad!

Step 3: 

After letting them sit for about 5 minutes, I run it under hot water again. As you can see in my photo, there is still brown/red water coming from the ink pad. Which means that there is still ink residue in the scrub pad. I will run it under the water for a few minutes and then let it sit in the dish rack again. I will repeat this process until the water run clear. Once the water is clear, that means your scrub pads are nice and clean!!

Step 4: 

Once they are nice and clean, I let them air dry over night in my dish rack. I place them this way in my dish rack so the water can drain out of the pad and this helps to dry the scrub pads.
